Good Morning!
Well, I never made it over to the Stamp Expo. The roads were looking way too icy for me, so I decided to stay safe and sound at home. This afternoon I go to the new dentist, but it is supposed to get up above freezing and a lot of the ice has melted off the roads, so it should be fine out there today. :)

Okay--the Ask and Receive method.
I listened to a talk by Sandi Radomski and Thomas Altaffer. This method is based on the fact that we each have a higher self that knows more than our ego self. This is a way of surrendering your ego to that higher self or that spark of God that resides in us (my interpretation). You kind of meditate or get yourself in the right place and then you repeat:
****
1. There is a part of my being that already knows how to_______.
2. And that part of my being is willing to inform the rest of me now.
3. It is doing so now with grace and ease.
4. My mind, body and spirit are receiving the information now.
5. Information transfer is now complete.
****
You can ask for something as simple as "how to eat proper portions" or as complicated as "how to adjust the frequency of my body so that ______ cannot live within my body" (infections, cancer, etc). But the more specific you can be the better, I guess--and present it in a positive form.
****
They said fear is the underlying issue for inflammatory diseases, cancer, etc--and fear is a lack of love. (I can see that.) What I like is that you don't have to go back to the why--may not consciously know why, anyways--you just have to ask for the help and guidance. I see it as more of a "where do we go from here" way of thinking, which fits me much better. And it is totally faith-based, from my point of view.
****
So, I find this much more compelling for me than the tapping. To each his own, right?
****
Not that I might still not try to find my own version of the tapping. ;)
****
Anyways, I have just been repeating this every night before I go to bed. Sometimes once, sometimes several times. I may be being too general in the knows "how to be healthy"? But I have soooo many health issues that I thought if I kept repeating it long enough...?? :)
****
Well, I have to finish getting ready for the dentist's.
May this be a good week for everybody!! :):)

I don't want to miss my future.

Nice picture of Karma. She looks like she's really concentrating on whatever it is she's looking at. :)
The Ask and Receive method sounds like something I should try. I know I have a lot of problems and they aren't going away anytime soon. My IBS is caused by a fear in certain situations. I know this but can't overcome this. I guess it's something I need to work on for myself. I wish you well with this.
I hope you had a good dentist visit today, if there is such a thing. Let us know how things went with your appointment.
That quote is so true. John F. Kennedy was such an inspiration to so many people. It's a shame he was cut down in the prime of his life.
That ego stuff sounds a lot like some of the stuff in my Zen Philosophy course.
AliceKay--I was wiggling my fingers off to the side. (I sound like an animal photographer--LOL!)
I have IBS, too, and I know that fear adds to the problem big time, yes! I can't seem to stop the inner fear workings either--like the dentist, for example--LOL! ;) At least this sounded very positive. Just focusing on handing it over and letting go of it--no matter where it started or why. I liked that.
Tori--Zen is pretty chill and hand it over in philosophy, yes. Easier said than done, but a great goal for me. :)
The 'Ask and Receive' sounds great! Similar to the Abraham teachings which, as you know, I'm a huge fan of. Try to also 'feel' and 'believe' the desired effect is already happening as this will speed up the process.
Serena--Yes, you have to believe and hand yourself over--as if it is already done. :) I think I will have to read about Abraham's teachings. I think I might even have one of their books--have to go look. Thanks!
A great goal for a lot of people, I think.
Goodness... I did I get so far behind again?
I hope you keep tapping too - and maybe someday you will be tapping in tap-shoes.
The Ask and Receive method sounds more... ...well less odd and crazy than the tapping methods... seems like they are both out to accomplish the same end. And that end is what you are shooting for and all us in your peanut gallery are cheering you on for...
:) Karma the Koncentrator...
Iggy--LOL! When I hear the term "tapping" it does bring to mind that crazy routine from Young Frankenstein! Many thanks to the peanut gallery!! ;)
