Sunday-8:45am

Yesterday I was surprised to hear the back up beeping of the roofer's big yellow machine in the parking lot.

He moved forward with that cage-like piece and just parked everything here for a couple of hours (possibly a lunch break, considering the time).
Later in the afternoon I could see the top of a big truck parked between the garages back there. Flatbed most likely. You can see the cage-like contraption was put on the back of it by the big yellow hoisting machine.
I forgot about them.
This morning...
...a light layer of snow making the world all clean and bright.
And no roofer's machinery.
But they just left the scattered mess of the plywood, pallets, and some big hunk of metal...
...so that--still--nobody can park there in any of those spaces. *sigh* Do you think they needed the equipment for another job that they are actually working on?
****
There's a part of me that would like to take a match to that messy wood pile.
*she snickers evilly*
****
The snow continues here, but they're only predicting an inch or two and temps in the teens. I've been happily on days. Watched the new version of Alice In Wonderland with Johnny Depp. Burton never fails with strange and dark. Anyways, hope you are all having a nice weekend! :)

I'm not sure if I posted this quote before because I do enjoy it and have seen it several times--but, if so, once again...

The other day you were talking about dreams. Sometimes, mine are so vivid that when I wake up, I'm not sure if I'm still dreaming or awake for a minute. Also, I wonder what message I am supposed to be getting sometimes because some of them are so strange.

Also, another tidbit for you. I don't remember who it was, maybe Robin Williams on David Letterman, said that in the 60's, there were no storage units for people. Now there are billions of them, because people hold onto their "things" more and more of them live in apartments now. Something to think about.

Ahh.. wisdom of Pooh... some of my favorite kind!

If you wanna torch the pile - I'll lend you some incendiary materials (like road flares and gasoline).

Judging from the pictures - there ain't no sign of Spring in Fargo...

Just rain and mud here - the tulips are sprouting... :)

Loved that quote. :)

Seems strange the guy would move the equipment but leave the scrap mess. But then these roofers are a strange lot.

We had rain last night, it poured down rain this morning, switched to sleet around 11AM, and then to snow around noon. It's been snowing ever since. I went out around 6PM and cleaned off 4 1/2 inches of sleet and snow from my car. Figured it would be easier to clean off tomorrow morning if there wasn't so much on it. Yep, we still get heavy snowfalls in Pennsylvania in March. (where is that Phil???)

Nancy from F8hasit said to pop over and say hi and I'm so glad I did. I love that quote!
I have had to make friends with my weeds as it is just so fertile here on my little island - put a spade in the ground and it will grow!!
I'm with Intense Guy...have a bonfire!

Sounds kind of like what they did with us back in the Summer... I hope they don't wait as long to come back and finish the work! :(

Glad you enjoyed the movie (and that at least some of the movies I have reviewed are available for you to watch, lol!)

I love Eeyore, and love his quotes!

Sue--I have very vivid dreams, too! And I am always wondering about what they mean. I heard that about storage units, too. Too much stuff, I guess, eh? That proves it.

Iggy--That pile is pretty damp, but it could be done....hehe! I have visions of a bonfire!
Tulips!! Can't imagine. Nope--no signs of spring up here. Not for some time. ;)

AliceKay--That's what made me think they needed the equipment for some other job or something. They never cleaned up the mess, but that is no surprise. A tiny annoyance compared to what you guys are putting up with with the gas companies.
Oh--sleet is the pits to scrape off your car. Yuck! We've had snowstorms in April. Hope it warms up there soon. :)

Possum--Welcome! So nice of you to stop by. Come back any time and say hi to Nancy! Island? Where do you live? I visited your blog and will be back. :):)

Tori--Yes, I do get to some of the movies you have reviewed--hehe!
We knew they wouldn't be working on the roof all winter, so I wondered why they left their equipment here in the first place. They've just been using our parking lot for storage space. We're talking using up 6-8 parking spaces. They probably won't come back and clean up all the stuff they left scattered about, either. Times have changed. I miss common courtesy.

I've been having some very strange and vivid dreams lately, Rita. Even had a nightmare that woke me up but I couldn't recall why.

Very strange how they left all that stuff. I'd be tempted to set fire to it too.

I have not watched the Johnny Depp Alice but want to.

I love Winnie the Pooh - such a wize ol bear.

You and me both! :(

Deanna--I don't always remember my dreams, either, after I wake up. And then some are soooo real--you can smell, feel, taste... :)
Funny, I never read Winnie the Pooh when I was a kid or later, but I like some of the quotes. ;)

Tori-- :)
