Wednesday-2:30am

Well, the camera didn't do it justice, but I got a shot of the sky after I talked to you...
...and the sunrise.
When I took the pictures it was only 63 degrees! But the humidity was 84%. Still no opening up the apartment for me.
****
Karma wanted to sleep out on the porch in the sun, of course. Get while the gettin' is good!
She was really conked out. Usually notices me at the door. Out like a light. Soakin' up the rays. ;)
The arugula is coming along nicely...
...and has been joined by basil...
...and I think these skinny little buddies were thyme. I know--silly to be so excited about herbs, but I have never grown any but some chives many years ago.
Karma hasn't noticed them. It would be difficult for her to get to them since they take up the entire table--LOL! She'd have to stand on the glider chair to try to reach them...and that chair wiggles and is all metal, so she doesn't like it much. I am hoping the herbs will be safe from cat chomping for a while. ;)
****
Sure!
Figures!
I take a shot that shows the road is half open (and was for days) and now this is what sat there all day yesterday.
That big old truck blocked the entire road. I have to giggle. This connecting road must be waaaay down on the road crew's priority list--LOL! I think they're using it for parking!
****
I woke up at midnight without a lot of sleep...again. So, I emailed Dagan and Leah to cancel for tonight. This time it is me--hehe! Anyways, I had a brand new version of incorporating the pain into my dream--LOL! Sometimes when I wake up I just have to shake my head and smile. This time I was walking outside in tall grass and was swarmed by a horde of mosquitoes. I mean a black, thick blanket of them all over my body biting me. So many I would have looked like a black bear--hehe! That was a new one. *still shaking head*
****
So, because I am really just too sore to sit here very much longer, I'll have to try to write about Flowers and Garbage next time. I apologize. Just the way life goes sometimes, right? I do have a couple Netflix movies to keep me company that have been sitting here for a couple days and books calling out to be read. I shall have a quiet contented night, never fear. Karma loves my R&R days. Life is good.
****
Have a sweet day!! :):)

Those pictures were beautiful, especially the second one, but I know what you mean about cameras not doing something like that justice. (unless you have a very expensive camera with all sorts of lenses and settings)

Your herbs are coming along nicely.

Karma looks relaxed. I hope you're able to get some much needed R&R today.

You have a great attitude. I don't know that I would do anywhere near as well. Pain wears me down. Love that Helen Keller quote.

I so wish you were pain free!

It cooled off a bit here last night, but the heat and humidity was back in great force by 8:30 this morning. Heading out for a busy day. Hope you are getting some much needed rest!

I had my share of mosquito swarms while I was in Minnesota. NO FUN!!

AliceKay--My camera can't zoom in like yours does. I can only get a little bit closer, but I do love my camera.
Yes--Helen Keller--what an amazing woman! :)

Djan--Pain wears me down, too. So I just go slower--LOL! No point in fighting it. ;)

Deanna--Hope you had a good day, busy lady! I hope I do get a good long sleep today. Time will tell. :)

Nikki--That's right! You were here for a hot, humid summer visit (I'm a Minnesotan born and bred) and you can't have summer without mosquitoes up here. LOLOL!! Unforgettable little buggers. ;)

Karma has the right idea with soaking up the sun!

That's great about your herbs; hope Karma leaves them alone for good!

Interesting dream...

Sorry you're having a bad day with pain. *Hugs*

Love the quote!

Beautiful shots of the sunset and rise... Sunrise was rosey and glorious here this morning - unfortunately I looked at it and was thinking, "what the heck are you doing up at this hour for?! go back to sleep!" instead of getting my camera... I'm just not an early AM person.

I hope you feel better soon - and that Minnesota state bird leaves you alone!!

I've never seen Mosquitoes like those in Minnesota and Manitoba. I've never complained of them again since that time!

Look at you go with your garden! We had to pull ours up - it's just too hot and dry down here. I envy your temps! I have a Westie that will go outside and lay in the sun like Karma - just soaking up the heat. Can't figure him out!

So sorry you're feeling poorly ~ hope you're better soon.

My digital camera doesn't have much zoom. It's my camcorder that can zoom way in on things when I record video.

Beautiful big skies! And colours to make you want to cry.

My cat is doing the same, only in front of the heater as it's the depths of wild woolly winter here. Cats know where the best spots are...

Cheers,

Cindy

Terah--Glad to hear it. Nobody I have asked knew what it was--LOL! Guess I need to google it. ;)

Tori--Thanks! I had a bad few days. :)

Iggy--I have seen more sunrises than I ever had in my entire life since I got fibro--wasn't usually up this early OR still awake at that time--LOL!!
We joke about those buzzy, bitey, buddies being the state bird--hehe! They are constantly spraying in the cities for them and they can still drive you indoors at dusk. ;)

Donna--My "garden" is doing okay. This is as close to a garden as I'll ever get in an apartment--LOL!
I've had dogs who love the sun, too. With all that fur you'd think they'd roast!
I'm feeling a little better now that I was back on days over the weekend and sleeping better. Thanks. :)

AliceKay--That explains it! A camcorder!

Carol--As long as I am up that early on whichever days I am, I love to watch the sun rise. I was normally a sunset girl--hehe! LOL@crops!! :)

Cindy--Yes, I do love the big sky and the colors, too! Cats do find the best spots and most seem to love variety and unusual places, too. ;)

You have my sympathy re. the pain interfering with your sleep, Rita. I've had a fair bit of that myself this past week.

YAY on all the new shoots!

Lovely sunrise and sunset pics!

Tori--Thanks! :)

Serena--I hope you've been feeling better and getting some sleep, too! *hugs*
