Greetings! Another week with little to say. The oral surgery went well Wednesday. Got out of there in plenty of time before the boys came home. The worst of it was getting the IV in. The lady tried twice on my left arm and then went over and ended up using my right hand...pressing hard...and putting it into the swollen red arthritic joint at the base of my first finger. (Still hurts more.)
I think it was because I wasn't supposed to drink or eat anything for 6 hours before--which meant I hadn't had anything to drink since the night before. I think I was dehydrated because I've never had troubles with all the many IVs and blood draws I've had these past few years. (Except for that one young guy who wasn't allowed to poke anybody more than two times--but I think that was inexperience--lol!) Anyways...thank goodness I was out for the rest of it--lol!
Been another recovery week--lol! Ear was noticeably less painful even right after. Jaw swelling is
going down along with pain. Still sticking with soft foods.

The boys were down in the window well playing one day. I had the shade down and I must have been sleeping.
[Note: I hit some key again this time and couldn't fix the sentences or spacing. Not sure what I hit by accident due to depth perception being bad, I'm sure I have more mistakes, but eye is having a cloudy day so I hope you can figure out what I meant--LOL!]

It all looks just fine. I'm glad you're getting a bit of improvement. Let's hope for more, especially your vision.
Everything looks fine. No concern about spacing or anything. Great news that the surgery went well and the swelling is going down and pain decreasing. Now the eye has to continue to improve and you'll be in much better shape. Sometimes nurses/phlebotomists get right into my veins but more often they have difficulty. I know how uncomfortable it is when they have to keep trying and sticking in the needle in different places. Since Liam enjoys refrigerator magnets so much, he might like magnets with words on them. You can order them on Amazon. He'd be able to practice making sentences on your refrigerator.

Glad to hear that all went well except with them trying to get the iv in. That sounds like it would have been a bit painful where they finally put it.
Oh do you have my sympathy. I have difficult veins and have had the veins in my hand used. Painful isn't a strong enough word.It's so good you got that surgery taken care of and it sounds like you are on the road to recovery.
Even a little progress is better than none. Hopefully you will continue to get better!
Glad things are getting a bit better. Ask, Dagan or Leah if you have voice activation on your PC or laptop. If so you can speak your posts and emails instead of typing. Just a thought. I like Father Brown series. Have a good week.

Down here we are told no food or drink other then water and to drink plenty of water so our veins are easy to find
Glad the oral surgery went well and that you heal up ok! I don't know anything about Football either.
Good to read the dental procedure went well, except for that IV insertion and seems the person doing it could have been more gentle. Hope the eye continues to improve. The suggestion to talk your posts and eails is a good one, I believe you also have to say to insert punctuation.
I'm really glad things are improving, though recovery is a pain (no pun intended) and takes a bit. Thinking lovely thoughts on your eye. Can you look into voice-delivered print recognition software that could read your blogs or other materials to you?

Everytime I have surgery I either had problems going in with migraine, or problems coming out with nausea and vomiting. Funnily enough, my veins are compliant - probably because they too are screaming "put me out of my misery". I do hope that recovery goes well and Allie remains a good comfort to you in that journey.
