Tuesday-10am

Goodness!  Been a whole week again!
We had a dusting of snow for Christmas Eve.
Not enough to cover the brown lawn, but it was a semi-white Christmas, anyways.  I was happy to see some snow.
And my backordered new red Thermos mugs finally arrived on Christmas Eve!
Yes, you will be seeing new mugs for 2015!  Whoohoo!  I absolutely love the taller black and red one.  All the ladies over at T-Stands For Tuesday, I've even done a coffee mug red facelift--LOL!
****
Karma and I had our own little Christmas miracle!  I went to plug in the dead musical string of lights to see if maybe the music box still worked (because I had turned the sound off and Ian seemed to like the tinkly music) and--lo and behold--they lit up and blinked again!!  TaDa!
****
Karma and I hung out (notice she'll go anywhere I move her stocking and the tiny tree skirt--LOL!)...
...and had a relaxing, quiet Christmas just the two of us.
I got this basket of goodies delivered from Janie
And Tori sent Miss Karma some cat treats and me an audio version of The Hobbit!
I also got some Amazon gift cards (one from Patricia, my BFF from high school!).  I just have the best friends!!  And members of my family sent money, too!  Thanks so very, very much!  For each gift, each card, each kind word...you made my holiday so special!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas (those who celebrate it) and may we all have a marvelous coming year!
****
Let's see, what else.  We've had a lot of cloudy days.
I washed up all the fabrics Leah and I bought at Joann's.  Now just waiting to receive and wash up the other fabrics I bought on Amazon.  Supposed to all be here by the 6th.  I have little post-it notes to tell me which fabrics are which--flannel, velour, minky, suede cloth, etc.

I got the sewing machine working again!  Had to take a tweezers and dig around to pull out the jammed thread.  Couldn't even come in sideways with a butter knife and get to that screw to remove the plate.  I have a 4-way screwdriver picked out to order in January.  ;)  But--so far so good--tada!
****
Right after Christmas I ran across 24 Hours of Happy!!
I know I'm probably the last person on earth to know this website even exists but I love that song because it does make me HAPPY!  I've been playing it and watching a little every day since I found it.  (The pics are Steve Carell doing a cameo "Happy" appearance on a bus.)
This morning we're seeing some sun again.
Been seeing sunshine for a few days and it is very welcome.  Was one degree yesterday morning.  Right now it is "-4 feels like -22 F".  Crispy.
This has been such a year!!
This little guy has changed our lives!  :):)
(Photo from Mama)
Little Ian has recently caught the cold/cough that's going around.  Poor guy has had trouble sleeping unless it's upright against Mama's chest. You get this crud and can't breathe when you lie down.  Sending healing thoughts...all over!  So many people have been down with this or other illnesses this winter already.
****
I usually post over New Year's and likely will this year, too.  I love greeting the New Year and saying goodbye to the last one.  How can you not get all warm and gushy and contemplative on New Year's--LOL!  It's the perfect time for reflection and examining your life so far.  See you then!!
****
Meanwhile, I dare you to click on this Happy link and not at least crack a tiny smile.  I am listening to it as I am writing this.  Just want to share the joy.  Can you hear me clapping?!  :):)

Hi, dear Rita! I'm happy to know you had a semi-white Christmas. Here in Central Florida there was not a trace of snow. :) I love your red mugs and all the other goodies caring friends sent to you. Ian certainly is a blessing and changed all your lives this year. I wish you, Ian, Kitty Kat Karma and your whole family a safe, healthy and prosperous new year!

So much wonderful Christmas joy here! Glad your new mugs arrived for the holiday. Oh how can one not want to dance and sing to that tune-I don't think I will ever tire of it! Your quote is truly a perfect ending to this post and another year. Happy T day and a happy New Year to you and yours.

Oh Rita, your snow looks like mine, only I have more this morning than your dusting. And the skies here are grey and dark.

Sorry to read about Ian. I can truly, truly relate. Just now starting to feel a bit better myself.

The boys and I had a very quiet Christmas, too. Except I coughed a lot. That was about the only sound here, Glad you and Karma were warm and safe. So glad to see she's having so much fun with her stocking, too. And those lights coming on were a nice Christmas gift.

Thanks for sharing your new RED mugs, as well as your week with us for T this Tuesday. Have a safe and joyful New Year, dear friend.

I spent Christmas day, watching all the TV shows we taped. We didn't celebrate until Saturday and that was good.

How much Mr. Ian has grown!!!

Happy New Year to you and Karma, and thanks for all the T-day visits.

Aww, poor wee Ian, I hope he gets better soon. My Wee Man has started with yet another cold, so I'm hoping it's just a blip and doesn't floor him for another month like the last one. Anyhoo, I thoroughly enjoyed watching some 'Happy', thanks for sharing the link. I didn't know about that site either, but I do think I would go demented listening to it for 24 hours tho' lol.
I'm glad that you and Karma had a fine Christmas. Your gifts were lovely and show how highly you are thought of. Happy T Day to you Rita & Happy New Year! :o) x

Well I am glad someone I know had a little white for Christmas. We were at 52 degrees! Love the cool red mugs, and I'll have to check that website out. Neat idea and I love listening to music while I am crafting. Happy New Year!

We rarely get snow. Today it's been sunny with a high of about 43F. Happy T Tuesday! :)

Hello and Happy T Day! I love the new red mugs, my sister has one too. YAY for sunshine, we finally got some too. Now the cold and snow is coming, not much thank goodness. The kids didn't like having Christmas with no snow. Hugs for Ian, hope he's feeling better soon. Happy New Year!

Hope little Ian is feeling tip top real soon...so hard when they can't even tell you what's going on.
Know you will enjoy those mugs!
We can count on one hand the number of times we've had a white Christmas here in northern Virginia...it adds a nice touch.
Here's wishing you and yours a very Happy and Healthy 2015!

Poor baby.. I hope he's feeling better before too long. I never heard of the Happy sight either so you're not alone there. If I'm not back on the blogs in the next day or so... Happy New Year, my friend. May it be a great one for you.
