Tuesday-noon

Good Afternoon!
Yes, I am moving that slowly today--LOL!  I have seen so many people posting signs of spring that I thought I'd show you the signs of spring outside my window.  ;)
****
It's windy enough here all year round for this, but the plastic bag caught in a young tree's branch is more likely when those branches are naked.  No buds or leaves...just flapping plastic bags--LOL!  ;)
But now this...this is a true and most definite sign of spring!
They were out digging everywhere yesterday.
Right behind our garages and across the field behind the far buildings...
...for as far as I could see off to the right.
But today the vehicles and equipment are lined up silently in the field and Karma is listening to the hard rain (or maybe sleet) hit the windows and pelt the air conditioner.
They are saying we might even have a little snow tonight.  Temperatures are on the edge of freezing so we never know what we will end up with.
****
I've been on R&R.  Writing letters (note the trusty coffee mug T-Stands For Tuesday gals) and watching TV.
Going over regularly to scoop the cat box, give Sammy and Annie food and water, and last night I even watched some of the new season of House of Cards on their giant TV--whoohoo!
I had a video chat with McFamily already.  They were jet lagged but happy.  Ian was so good on the long plane ride.  Aaron met them at the airport (Leah's brother) and they seemed to adjust fairly quickly to the time change.
****
They have a few tours planned--a couple are two day tours.  It is so nice that Aaron has a couple weeks off duty to spend time with them!  Sounds like they are having I great time!  We have another video chat scheduled for today.  Morning for them, night for me.  That works out great.
****
Leah emailed me a picture of Ian on a bouncy bee in a park in Tokyo.

Doesn't it look warm there!  I am sure they are not missing the sleet and snow--LOL!  What an adventure!
****
My dad is home from the hospital and feeling much better.  Thanks to everyone who sent well-wishes and prayers.  So glad he's home.  :)
****
Caroline is coming to clean this dark afternoon.  I will be watching more of Kevin Spacey at his evil best.  I hope the change of seasons is being kinder to you than it is to us at the moment--LOL!  Have a great week.  :):)

Hi, dear Rita! I'm happy to see signs of spring up your way. Soon... very soon... those plastic bags caught in tree branches will be in full bloom :) Kitty Kat Karma has a very cute profile. Does she have a "good side"? I'm also pleased to see Ian getting an opportunity to travel to a faraway land at such an early age. I'm sure he will have at least some faint memories of is experiences there.

Enjoy the rest of your week, dear friend Rita!

Unless you're a snowman, I can't see why people CHOOSE to live in Fargo!!

Good to hear your Dad has improved! It is cold here and might snow...I am so excited... not. It is a dreary week so far. Make me sleepy:)

I hope that with videos and photos, Ian will be able to "remember" this adventure to a strange land. :) Japan is an interesting country - it has a fascinating and complex culture. I remember seeing Mount Fiji from afar and thinking it was beautiful - reflected on the water of the rice paddies - seen from the Bullet Train.

Oh golly, I forgot to ask how your dad was...glad he's better.
We get plastic bags in trees too, one of my pet hates
Japan will be such a cultural holiday, they will have lots of stories to tell you on their return.

I was delighted to learn your father is out of the hospital. Wonderful news. Sounds like you are having an adventure at the McFamily's house while they are away (grin). Looks like Ian is having fun in Japan, but it's too bad he's too young to really appreciate it yet. At least he'll have McFamily photos.

It nearly froze here night before last and we had hail for a second day in a row. High winds and lots of power outages on the east side of town, too. Glad you are safe. Today it's supposed to hit 80F.

Really enjoyed catching up with you and your mug (grin) for T this Tuesday.

Poor you... not having any signs of spring yet. I better not mention that we have had great weather for the last two days, the birds are singing their little hearts out, plants are sprouting everywhere... it's all springiness here.
Sorry to hear your Dad's been in hospital but it sounds like he's on the mend.
Japan will be such a brilliant experience for everyone. Little Ian's bouncy bee photo is gorgeous too.

Isn't technology wonderful? You can chat face to face with the family anywhere in the world. I loved it when I was in Turkey. The time difference made it harder, but not impossible. Love the bouncy bee picture! :-)

So, spring has sprung in the States. Warmer weather beckons. We are currently in Autumn so our late evening and early mornings are starting to cool just a tad at this stage. I always remember when we arrived in Wyoming on June 12 and it snowed that very night! The locals said it was Nature's way of giving a special welcome to the Aussies...a taste perhaps of what we would be in for come winter. hehe

What a sweet picture of Ian in the bouncy bee! Too cute! I'm sure they will be having an amazing time in Japan. The three weeks will fly by way too fast.

Glad to hear your Dad is home and obviously doing better.

Love and hugs xo

Oh I do hope you don't get snow or sleet-enough already! Looks like Karma doesn't care so long as she is warm inside:) Glad the family's journey went well. What a great experience and opportunity for them. And also good news about your dad. Happy T day!

Ian looks like such a big boy on the bouncy bee. It's good they'll be there for a long visit since it takes at least a few days to adjust to the time change. Glad to hear your dad is better. We're having monster spring storms this week. Yesterday morning it was as dark as night with a major hail storm. Just hoping we're not hit with tornadoes!

Your spring time picture cracked me up because it looks just like that here. We even had the plastic bag at the baseball game last night it was very windy, and I was waiting for the tumbleweed to show up. This microphone is not working. Sorry for the less-than-perfect grammar.

I hope that winter takes to its heels now Rita. It has long outstayed its welcome. It's only today in London that we have had really nice temperatures, to the point I went out without taking a coat! that definitely proves something! :)

I'm glad McFamily arrived safely, and that Ian was good during the flight. Hope they enjoy themselves!

I'm also glad your Dad is doing well! :)

The weather's nice here this week. Sunny, but not too warm. The temperature is staying around the mid to high 50s F at night, and around the 70s F in the day.

Your comment about the builders being a sign of spring made me laugh. So true. Hope that warmer temperatures and spring blossoms are on the way too. It hasn't felt very much like spring here either, cold and wet, but it seems to be getting warmer now.

Definitely a good excuse to stay indoors! So glad to hear McFamily has adjusted to the time change. Hopefully they adjust as well when they come home. I am glad to hear your Dad is doing better Rita. Always a worry when someone in the family is sick!

Are you liking season 3 of HoC? I haven't heard good reviews, but I haven't started S3 myself. I loved the first 2...but I adore all things Kevin Spacey. :P Ian looks to be having a great time and he gets cuter by the day!
