Saturday--Fun stuff from McFamily

Three quick videos this afternoon.  :)
****
Ian likes to watch the remote control car but doesn't like to be on the floor with it--LOL!
While Ian was napping upstairs Leah and her sister, Ariel, put together the new wooden train set to surprise him.  :)
I have never seen a praying mantis before!  Didn't even know we had them up here in the midwest, but apparently we do.  So glad they took a video!
Leah told me the praying mantis got moved over to the garden later.  :)
****
They finished staining the deck this summer.
Looks great!
You can see the new big church is being constructed across the field.  All behind their house there will end up being a big parking lot eventually.
Love the pic of Ian and his lawnmower.  Leah put this as my screen saver on Mr. Rusty.
Speaking of which, I am cheating right now and typing on the McLap.  I have a very good reason.  All these videos and pics were over on McLap and not on Mr. Rusty, the new one.  I needed to post them before I totally forgot them and any more time has passed.  I think these could even be from a couple months ago.
****
What a relief to be able to type fast!!!  Ahhhhh!  Like coming home!!!
****
I might have to cheat and use McLap to type about the big meeting, too....but I know I should keep at it on Mr. Rusty...hummm?
****
Anyways, only four hours of sleep--so just a quick fun post!
Bye bye!!  :) :)

The deck looks awesome! And I absolutely love that Picasso quote. That is exactly how Phil and I live our lives. :)

Darling photos and a super capture of the Praying Mantis.

That deck is gorgeous. I'm not sure I would want it that open to the rest of the neighborhood, though.

Is there any way you could type on McLap and copy it, then paste to Mr. Rusty? Not sure it would work, but it might speed things along if you could. Probably won't work because they aren't the same type of system, but I was just thinking out loud, something I should probably stop doing about now and wish you a happy weekend.

Love the mantis! We often end up with one in residence on the patio but not this year. I always wanted the kids to want one of those wooden train sets, but it never made it to the top of their lists. Looks like such great fun :)

Good luck with the new laptop. Hubby needs a new one but I'm so hesitant. He is terrible with new technology. Well, for that matter, he has little patience with any technology – LOL! Take care.

I love praying mantis, even here where they are more plentiful you don't see them very often. They are just cool.
Ian looks like a happy boy.
Loving the deck.
It's hard to get used to a new computer, you'll do it and then you'll wonder how you could ever think Mr Rusty was any trouble. :-)

Ian is so cute!

You did OK on Mr. Rusty the other day... Hang in there, you'll get used to using him instead of McLap.

Sorry you only got four hours of sleep, but glad you did at least get that much. Four hours is better than no hours, right? I know that's not much comfort when you're exhausted...

The way Ian looks in surprise at the train set and then examines it is so cute. It's beautiful that when he's afraid of the car he climbs right up on Dagan with no hesitation because he knows Daddy will take care of him.

Love,
Janie

Love the videos, and the deck looks awesome, I would love to have such a deck at my place the owners may not agree, we rent from the government so doing thinks like erecting a deck would be a no no but still I would love it

Great videos Rita. Ian is very adorable. I can't get over how flat and treeless it is. Other than at the seacoast nothing is that flat here, and we have so many trees. Must be nice not to have rake come fall. :) Glad that preying mantis made it back outside. Its a pretty cool insect, but I don't think they are common anyplace. Take care. Hugs-Erika

I like the praying mantis video - - I haven't seen one in a long time. I also like the view from the deck. I'd rather see a parking lot than a bunch of neighbors.

Loved the videos...Ian is so cute!

We get Praying Mantis and Stick insects a lot around here at certain times of the year. I love how they follow you with their eyes.

The deck looks lovely!

Cute pic of Ian with his lawnmower.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Love and hugs xo

Love the little grasshopper photos (Ian) too!

Oh, Ian is lovely! That is one huge grasshopper. Here in England we rarely see them but i am sure I would notice anything that size! I'm assuming a praying mantis is a kind of grasshopper, right?
