Greetings!
This will be super short...for me--lol! I decided to quit that internal fighting being sick and pushing myself when I have felt so cruddy. Just kind of gave in to resting and kind of being on vacation, so to speak. I was a bit better by the time McFamily came home on Wednesday. (Dagan said "all fine" on the check-up.) I am still sick and not feeling great but am coughing less than I was. Ian was down Friday for hours. I found Leave It To Beaver on Peacock! He really enjoyed it. We watched 11 episodes! Liam came down for the last two, I think. (He's not as much one to watch TV.) Ian made the three of us a pizza in my new oven. We totally lost track of time watching Beaver and got a text from Dagan and Leah to send the boys up to go to bed. It was 10:30! LOL!
After they left I looked to see how many more episodes we had in season one. I knew they made many more episodes every season all those years ago when I was a kid but I almost fell over! 39 episodes in the first season and there are six seasons! They were only half an hour but that is a LOT of episodes. Hurray! We will have fun watching Beaver for quite some time--lol!
I remember being so excited to hear that music come on at the start of the show. Were any of you Beaver fans? Later one of my favorite shows was The Andy Griffith Show. I'll have to see if I can find that one day for us to watch after we are done with Beaver. Must be a strange world for kids today to see. Phones on a table, girls wearing dresses to school, kids wandering around town or the neighborhood, and eating meals around the table every night. I would tell Ian what I remembered and what wasn't like that at my house. I think it is weird for him to think I watched this show when I was his age maybe younger...Liam's age, maybe?
I just asked Google. 1957 it came out. I was six. Yup--younger than either of the boys. Younger than Beaver was! LOL!
Anyways...Wild Card...seemed coincidental--lol!
Unreachable? This past week it has felt unreachable that I will get back to feeling decent and ever getting my home put together. But eventually things should work out. They always do.I didn't even take any pictures this week. Totally on R&R. Nothing done but the usual daily stuff and a load of clothes. Still sick but definitely better than a week ago. I did find some colorful cabinet knobs. Not like the every one different of the hand-painted knobs. They are all the same, but I bought two different kinds. One set for the living room and one set for the studio. I have another list of small projects for Dagan and Leah for today...and she might cut my hair, too.
My only plans for the coming week are to rest up, get well, and see the eye specialist on Friday. The following week will be the lab and rheumatologist. That's enough for me to deal with. Maybe some more Leave It To Beaver! LOL! Have a great week! :) :)

I haven’t seen Leave it to Beaver in years. I think I probably watched more of the Andy Griffith show than Beaver though.
Glad you are feeling a little better. Sometimes just resting can do a lot of good. Hope all goes well with upcoming appointments
Leave it to Beaver ... I've seen but never became a fan I was born in six seven... I did see more of the Andy Griffith show but not alot of that either... I watched alot of Little House on the Prairie and Waltons.. Brady Bunch... the Munsters... Adams Family.. Lost in Space was a favorite.. I'm sure there were more... :)
I'm glad you were able to get some rest... so important when your sick.. Ii pushed myself so many years during my working life when i was sick that now i refuse to... If i'm sick I'm taking a nap... lol :) Your Doctor or Nurse not calling you back i'm afraid may be the norm these days... If you don't complain enough they put you on the back burner...
Glad to hear Dagan's appt went welll... and you had all that fabulous times with the boys... Took my Littles to see a little Ballet for the first time... they giggled and loved it... so glad... It was called Click Clack Moo... about a farmer and his typing cows...lol based on the book of that title.. Have a good week Rita!! Hugs! deb
Beaver and Andy Griffin are on antennae tv. I've seen Beaver on and off for years! A well written and acted series. I'm glad your body made you take a vacation. You need to rest before you can get better. Good news about Dagan.
Sounds like you need to take it easy for a few day and get back to your healthy self. Leave it to Beaver is such a wholesome show. Have not watched it in a while but loved it when I did!
Yes Leave it to Beaver is fun to watch. I have Andy Griffith on Peacock I think or Paramount. We also liked watching Wagon Train and the Rifleman:) Hope you have a better week, In those my chart messages you have to ask what do I do now??
Yes to watching Leave It to Beaver in my much younger days and also the Donna Reed Show and Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet. It amazes me now to see that the wives in both those series were always so well dressed even for just being at home and with pearl chokers too! I have watched a few back episodes of a couple of these shows online, but doubt that I will go for all the seasons. You and the boys should have some fun viewing time while you rest up and hopefully feel more energized in a while, Rits.
I'm still a Leave It To Beaver fan. I sometimes watch it on Peacock or Prime Video, and I think Prime has The Andy Griffith Show. When Katrina was around the age of your boys she often liked watching the shows and movies I enjoyed as a child. With Dave we'd watch Nick at Night. They had Mr. Ed and My 3 Sons. It's so sweet that the boys like being with you and Ian even made a pizza for the three of you to share! So sorry you don't feel well. I'm working on a long letter to you that I hope to put in the mail tomorrow.
Love,
Janie
Good for you for taking it easy. I hope you start feeling better. ❤️
It's good the boys are watching these shows. Sorry you are still ill. Rest is the important thing for sure. Too bad they didn't answer you. Glad you got some new knobs. They will look nice once they are all on. Stay strong and rest.
I am late visiting but I am here at last, I have never watched Leave it to Beaver, I know the show, I think it is wonderful that you and the boys had fun watching it
Lay low, my friend. No need to push. I remember watching Leave It to Beaver and even met the grown-up Beaver when I worked at the tv station. It's still a fun show!
