Monday-5:30am

Good Monday Morning!
I just stood there and laughed when I went over to Dagan and Leah's Saturday morning. They were out of town and I went by to pick up another Shaklee cleaner to try (which I haven't yet, after all--hehe!). Look at that mountain of snow on top of the barbecue!
My goodness! You can really see how much snow we've gotten from their balcony. A lot different from my usual bird's eye parking lot view, eh? hehe!
I just love the beautiful view of the woods along the river behind their place.
This was the "view" in my elevator on the way home Saturday--ROFL!
Meanwhile--been continuing on with the cards. Seems like I usually end up making six at a time, doesn't it? Not planned. :)

I have no clue how to get blogger to accept photos properly from the McLap when it wants to turn them sideways. On my desk computer I can go into my photos and turn the photo clockwise and then turn it counterclockwise and after that Blogger will post them right side up. I tried that with iPhoto here on the McLap but could only find a way to turn them clockwise? I went around in a complete circle but Blogger still made the photo tip sideways, anyways. Humm??? I'll have to work on that and try to figure something out. But today--sideways it is, Blogger. I give up.
I also washed clothes, read, played with Karma, watched movies, and caught up some more online this weekend. Been sleeping during the day and up all night--but all is well and Leah starts her new job today--tada! Awesome!!
****
I hope everybody had a nice Valentine's Day. Well, those of you who care, anyways--hehe! :):)

That's a lot of snow piled up on their barbecue.

I see someone must have needed some meds in a hurry and left the evidence behind in your elevator. Amazing.

Good luck on figuring out your photo posting problem in your McLap and iPhoto program. I'm still trying to figure out why Blogger won't post my larger videos.(they aren't that big)

Valentine's Day has been a hard day to "celebrate" around my place for the past 24 years. My father-in-law died from a heart attack on Valentine's Day 24 years ago. He was only 57 years old at the time.

I hope your Monday is a good one. Time for me to get to work.

Busy, busy, busy! That is a lot of snow. Good luck with that new computer!

our snow looks the same here in Fairbanks, AK.

There's a free photo editing program called Pegasus through Google that you can download. Maybe that would do it?

Valentines Day used to be my parents anniversary. I usually stay home and avoid any kinds of things to do with couples on that day since I don't need any more reminders of being single. I like my independence but miss being with someone also.

WOW...that's some pile of snow!

As for the lift, I think it's such a shame that people can't be so disrespectful as to leave their rubbish in a shared area.

Lovely cards, as always, Rita.

Btw, just letting you know that the word 'mozzies' is Aussie slang for mosquitoes. We love to shorten long words and lengthen short words for some reason. ;) Sorry for the confusion.

The huge snow pile sure made me laugh here in Aussieland! What a beautiful sight. Your cards are lovely, I like the color scheme you picked for them. Thank you for sharing.

Stupid snow. Is is spring yet? :) I double-dare Dagan and Leah to grill...heh heh. Their new place looks wonderful! Nice view too!

These new cards are so cool too! I like them all! They are so funky and fun!

And nice garbage pile. I even have that at my new apartment...people are amazing. At my apartment it seems like they like to empty their pockets of trash as they walk up the stairs. (Good thing I'm on the garden level now.) No joke though...I almost picked up a crumpled receipt that was thrown on the lower stairs as I walked by the front door, but I decided to do a test. I was leaving for Arkansas for work that week and wanted to see if it was still there when I got back on Thursday night. Yup. It was still there when I got home. I picked it up and threw it away then. :(

Hi AliceKay--Sorry to hear that Valentine's Day always brings back loss memories for you. :( It is always hard when people are taken too soon.

Behind the barbecue--the lower mounds are from the lawn chairs--hehe!

I did have an exceptional Monday--and I will blog about it all tonight! ;)

Thanks Deanna! Where there's a will there's a way, right? Usually...hehe! :)

Sue--I'll mention Pegasus to Dagan and Leah. :)

I think a lot of people dislike Valentine's Day because of the "single" reminder. I'm much happier alone than I ever ended up being in a relationship--so I am fine with being single. I think, if I miss anything, I miss what I thought it should be...not what I actually had the majority of the time--hehe! True companionship--friendship--that would be fantastic for me anymore--ROFL! But I've been happily alone a long time--probably way too long. :)

Hi Serena!
Oh funny! Mozzies ARE mosquitoes!!! I don't know why that tickles me so. Is that pronounced with a long "o" or a short "o"? I love that!

Sadly--the leaving the trash in the lift--seems almost like an example of how we treat the earth in general, doesn't it? :( And I should be better, myself, at recycling...smaller footprint. Too bad we couldn't all just lick ours up like Karma does--hehe!

Welcome Hybrid!
You're welcome! Glad you like the cards.

Must be weird to see all that snow and cold when it is so hot in Australia right now. I hope it cools off for you! ;)

So glad you stopped by. :)

Jennifer--I don't think even a double-dog-dare would work for that challenge! ha!

Funky! That's a good description for a lot of these cards! Not my usual style, right? But they have been so much fun--probably because they're different for me, eh? :)

No way! So you get trash all over, too?! What is the world coming to? I brought a grocery sack with me the next time I went down--but it was picked up by then. They toss trash on the stairs here, too. Getting so a person should have a pick and trash bag every time they walk out the front door, eh? hehe! ;)

It's pronounced with a short 'o'....like in 'lost'.

Serena--I was hoping that was the way. I like the sound of that better--hehe! :)

Poor Karma wouldn't like that first step out the sliding glass door over at Leah's! That much snow isn't for tracking dainty feet in - its for making SnowKarmas.

Ugh, that elevator... people are such slobs!

Rita said...

Iggy--who knows? She might just sit inside and lick snow--expecting you to keep the door open for her. Actually--if you opened it a bunch might just fall right in. Karma would love that!

I've never understood people who just throw trash wherever they happen to be. Always wonder what their houses look like? Altho--I have know some real slobs outside their homes who kept everything neat as a pin inside their own space. Trashing the rest of the world was a different matter, apparently. ??
