Karma's favorite days are the quiet days where we just hang out and I don't move around too much--so she doesn't constantly have to keep an eye on me--hehe!
But then--I can manage to interrupt her sleep even on a quiet day--hehe!
I realized if I was going to relax this weekend and maybe write a letter or two--(since I don't feel up to much else)--that I was out of bookcards again.
So--(thanks to all those hours of prep-work)--I can throw together a few bookcards when I want to in quite a short amount of time. :):)
TaDa!
I think I am headed for a very quiet weekend. Karma will be thrilled. :) Getting closer to regular hours. In bed last night at 6pm and up at 2:30am. Slept really pretty well, tho. Ahhh! We don't realize how important simple things like sleep are until they elude us. Fibro is a devilish sleep stealer. ;)

I am off to peace, solitude, a softly snoring feline, a bookcard, and gifts from my VCR. :):)

Have a great weekend!

Ok trying again to leave a comment. I had one and said I'd deleted it. Don't know how I did that. Anyhow...
The book cards are beautiful. Are those what you write your letters on? I've never heard of them before. You sure do have tons of craft stuff! It's a good thing that you are so organized. :)
Yes, I agree...the bookcards are beautiful.
Karma seems to enjoy her cat naps. :)
I hope your weekend is going well. Have you seen the movie "Nim's Island"? It was on HBO Family last night so we watched it. Terri and I both really liked it. Beautiful scenery, too.
you can also use Skype - it's a free program that lets you talk to each other through your computer and if you have a video camera, can see each other also. It's how a lot of service people keep in touch with their families.
Yes, Skype is a lot like MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, or Google Chat. Skype seems to have more featurs, like talking and video chat, and is used for people overseas most often, at least in my experiences. My employer Fox Insurance Company used it to keep their India and US offices in constant touch with one another, so I used it everyday while I worked there, it was our most used form of communication throughout the entire company.
At my current job, we have a stripped down chat program called Spark that we use for inter-office communications.
Skype was much better, we had many, many conference calls over Skype, works very well. You get spammed on there though, just like Yahoo or MSN, just like that guy constantly trying to talk to you, but in Skype you can just block them, then they can't bug you anymore.
Anyway, I really don't know why you'd want to go on 2nd Life, but hey, to each their own right?
CelticSpirit,
I posted a few pictures of one of the bookcards for you. Yes--I write letters in them. I just started calling them "bookcards" after I started making them a couple of years ago. I make the covers from printed storebought paper or (when I have some) from our handmade paper. :)
AliceKay,
No, I haven't seen Nim's Island. I will have to look that up on Netflix.
I think Karma mostly has a nap life--hehe!
Sue,
I know a little about Skype from when Leah used it like a phone to India for a past job she had. My sister uses it to talk to her daughter in London, too. I have no idea how Skype would work with Second Life, tho? I have a feeling the free program is quite limited--hehe!
Leah,
I wondered about it because of what I saw on the PBS program. Curiosity, I guess. I also saw them showing about the games (X Box?) like Dagan plays where he can play with people from other states or around the world. There are groups of people who meet at a certain time every week even tho they've never met in person. I know you guys know all about this stuff--but I don't know as much about the cyber world. ;)
I think that the people probably talk to each other in Second Life using the headphones like Dagan has. :)
