Thursday-1:45am

Since I was still awake...hello in the middle of the night. :)
****
Dagan and Leah came over after work. After dinner Dagan made sure the "magic mouse" was working okay and started the portable hard drive thingie to copy/back-up the desk top brains. He headed for home after while to work on someone's computer for them. Something went wrong and the hard drive quit--didn't copy anything? Leah started it over and then it worked--hurray! Now--next week Dagan's going to see if he can transfer it all to the McLap!
****
Leah and I worked on the scrapcards.
It is going to be very chaotic around here for a long time, I think.
But this is fun for us...
...sorting thru all the goodies...
...that are piled on the table, TV trays, chairs...
...and every available spot we can find. :)
Leah stopped at Target on her way over here and found another floor lamp! Not exactly the same as the first one we found, but almost. Has five movable arms.
Kind of strange looking, I suppose, but I haven't had this much light in here...well...ever! We love it! Now we have bright new lights at the craft table and in the room, too. I can really see to use the McLap right now in my chair (yes--this is the first time I am blogging from the new McLap!) and reading is going to be so much easier on my eyes! Love my new octopus lamp!
While we were working on cards we were also messing with the SpotBot. Tried Shaklee Basic H, Shaklee laundry booster (they recommend to use for carpeting), the Bissel soap that came with the SpotBot, and finally I finished off a spray can of Woolite carpet cleaner. No luck so far. :( :(
We're going to keep experimenting. Leah said she was going to google how to get rid of mold in carpeting. There has to be something that will work or at least work fairly well. I hope. :)

I've been up all night and going to bed in the mornings recently. Making my way around the clock again. Since I had to figure out how to use the iPhotos, tho, it is already almost 3:30am. I hope I can remember any of what I managed to do tomorrow--ROFL! Of course, I have to wait and see if it posts properly, too. Time to check. Later...:):)

Looks like you have a lot to keep you busy in the weeks and months ahead.

I'm glad to hear the backup worked the second time around. Hopefully, Dagan won't have any problems transferring the data to your new McLap. Good luck to him on that project.

Interesting lamp. Looks nice and bright for you, tho.

Sorry to see the SpotBot hasn't been able to clean off the mold on your carpeting yet. I hope you find a solution for that soon.

And...I hope you were able to get some sleep. Time for me to get ready for work.

Sometimes I have to force myself to go to bed at night. I can't afford to get my days and nights turned around.

You are one very busy lady these days. Hopefully all will go well with transferring the data. Good luck with all of your projects.

I have done some searching, found some things to try and alternative products, I've emailed them to you Rita, you'll find them when you awake and check your email. ;)

Thank you kindly,
Leah

e you tried lemon juice for the mold?

I've been up late lately myself - until 2 or 2:30 am most nights. I decided to start taking Iosol again for my thyroid and it must be working. It's liquid iodine from the health food store. I put a couple of drops in some cranberry juice to disguise the taste.

Hi AliceKay!
With as slowly as we make these (so many decisions) it will be a long time--because we must have like 70 or 80 of them to put together. Keeps us out of trouble, right?

I have my fingers crossed. Dagan has never dealt with a Mac. :)

Boy--did I sleep! While you were working--hehe! My days and nights are totally flipped--for a while, anyways. ;)

Hi Deanna!
If I wasn't home 24/7 I couldn't sleep whenever I am able to either. Always a silver lining, right? :):)

I am always happy to have projects lined up. Keeps me motivated and moving (even if slowly--hehe!). ;)

Hi Leah!
Okie Dokie! Did you see Sue suggested lemon juice, too? We'll try everything before bleach as a last resort. ;)

Hi Sue!
I'll try the lemon juice. Thanks!

Last I had my thyroid checked it was fine. My crazy sleeping is basically because of a combination of being born a night person in the first place and the fibromyalgia. Fibro just plain messes with your sleep in a variety of ways. For a couple of years it was way worse with menopause insomnia on top of everything else--hehe! At least that has subsided--thank goodness. Getting old enough has its bennies--ROFL! Glad you are feeling better, too. :)

I'm thinking you might end up needing to re-dye the carpet.

Maybe hair dye? Preference by Loriel? (cause your security deposit is worth it?)

what are the round green thing son the table for?

for the carpet, I found this: http://www.ehow.com/video_4766918_clean-mold-stains-from-carpet.html plus another site said to use 1 cup of bleach to 1 gallon of water to get rid of the stain.

Hi Iggy!
Hehe! Luckily I only paid a $99.00 security deposit, but they could probably take me to small claims court, I suppose. I figure if we have to bleach it out as a last resort, by the time I ever leave here it might have dirtied up enough they won't notice. Maybe I can bleach it white and then have Karma rub her head on it--ROFL!! :):)

Hi Sue,
In the first picture? Those are a pair of double corner punches. Look like aliens with odd eyes from the top, don't they?

Yes--that's the bleaching method we found that we are saving as a last resort. ;) Heck--I'll put a stronger solution than that on there if I have to. I'd rather look at a bleached out carpet than one with brown stains. Might only bleach it to a certain degree, too. Seems like the mold dried and embedded right into the cheap carpet fibers. Thanks, tho. :)
