Puttered all day with the birthday cards. By evening I was ready to watch a DVD--"The Book of Eli"...but the DVD player said "no signal". I tried the unplugging of the tuner, checking the cords on the back of the DVD player, and restarting the computer to no avail. Good thing Dagan and Leah are coming tonight, eh?

Anyways, I set up the McLap right on the craft table so I could watch while I taped the parts together--so I got more done yesterday than I would have--hehe!
Got all the red ones done and wondered where Miss Karma was keeping herself. Hadn't seen her for a long time.
She was sprawled on the bedroom floor in the dark.
I guess I must have been keeping her awake--hehe!

Worked on the purple ones...
...and finished those, too--tada!
I know they're much too plain to be everybody's cup of tea, but I really like simple cards. And they're non-gender, which is a plus for me, too. The white cardstock is a linen paper.
I think I am just soooo happy to be feeling better! My little timer is going off all day long!

[Note: For those of you who don't know, I set a timer for an hour so I don't set off the fibro--or can at least try not to--hehe! Then I can usually come back after a couple hours and work for another hour.]

Today, I can tell, I can't spend as much time at the craft table--but I do plan to stamp the backs of the extra birthday cards so that I can send them with Leah tonight. Right now there's a thunderstorm that just rolled in quite loudly and rain is pelting the window panes. Not a read on the porch day today--but I do love a good rain storm! :):)

The quote today is the quote of the week from StampTV. Nice one!

Now that's a marvelous quote - really puts ya back on your heels.
LOL@Karma... I guess you were really bouncing around all day long :)
I think the birthday cards look really nice!
I think it doesn't matter if the card is plain or highly decorated. For one thing it's the thought that counts anyway, for another thing... You're taking the time to make them yourself, so that should make them extra special to begin with!
Well done on getting so much craft stuff sorted.
Hope the DVD player issue is easily fixable.
Great quote!
You have been a busy little bee, Rita. I like the simple cards too...LOVE the purple!
So glad to hear you're feeling better. I hope the TV signal is a simple fix.
That quote definitely keeps us thinking on a positive line.
I really like those birthday cards. Sometimes simple is the way to go...in birthday cards, in life, in lots of things.
I'm glad you're feeling better. I hope the DVD thing is something simple. ;)
Yep, that's Karma all stretched out and sleeping. I'd know that body anywhere. :)
Very nice quote.
You have been busy with those cards, and I like them too. We finally got some rain today and supposed to get some tomorrow also. I liked the movie Book of Eli although some things I didn't know until someone told me and I was like duh, but I wont say because I dont want to spoil anything for those that havent seen it, I hope you are having a good week.
Marty brought home "The Book of Eli" when he was home the last time, and although it was hard for me to grasp the beginning, I loved the movie by the end.
Iggy--I hadn't heard that quote before and liked the twist to make you think. Yes--I think I was way too bouncy for Karma after like a month and a half of being out of commission--hehe! ;) Thanks on the cards. :)
Tori--That's true! They are handmade. *big grin* Sometimes I like them more decorated and sometimes I like them very plain--but I try to put love into them either way. ;)
Serena--Many years ago when I used to buy cards (hehe!) I was most often drawn to the simplest cards. You like purple & deep greens and blues mostly, I think, from your gorgeous artwork. I love those colors together, too. :)
AliceKay--How true! Simple in life (and other things) is the way to go! :):) Still waiting to find out on the DVD player. I am not expecting it to be anything big. I am probably doing something in the wrong sequence or a cord is loose or something.
Lynn--Thanks on the cards! Been a great week!!
Spoiler Alert!
Lynn & AliceKay--With "The Book of Eli"--Did either of you wonder why at the end of the movie they showed his eyes for so long and he looked blind? Or was that just me?
