Saturday-5:15pm

Was a golden...
...pastel sunrise this morning before I went to bed. ;)
I wouldn't see as many sunrises if my hours didn't shift about so. :)
****
I wanted to say a special thank you to Leah, today.
Karma loves her "exercise" treat egg. Has not lost interest in it yet!
She pushes it all around the floor with her forehead.
****
No surprise there. Karma does love her head pressed against anything and everything--even the floor will do--LOL!
Karma really does love her blue egg.
Here she fell asleep with her paw touching it...
...like a toddler fighting sleep will do playing with a favorite toy.
Thanks for thinking of her, Leah! ;)

Rita, I live with three cats: Ellie, Maggie, and Matthew.

Like Karma, Maggie has a favorite toy. It is a soft, sparky stuffed circle of material. She tosses it in the air and catches it and then runs like the wind to another room and tosses it and leaps up, drops it and paws it under the furniture there.

Cats take such delight in little things. We've a lot to learn from them.

Dee--how true! They play with such abandon. And they know how to totally relax and not worry, too. :):)

Reba--I don't know how to photo shop, so what you see is what you get with my photos--LOL! It was a golden orange morning! So good to see you, lady!

Angela--It actually was a sunrise, even tho it DOES look like a sunset--hehe! Wild colorful morning for a few minutes there. :)

Thank you, Rita, for your wonderfully thoughtful comment on my Saturday's posting.

And thank you, too, for your remarks about who I've "grown up" to be. I guess I could have become bitter but really as the blog goes on and you meet my mother in all her wisdom, you will see why my attitude is positive,

They did come back. It was only that I remained ever unsure about whether they would "desert" me again.

I so like your blog and Karma! I'm sorry to hear about your mother and your childhood. Perhaps one day you, too, will share that story with us. Or perhaps you have and I have missed it because I just recently found your blog.

Awesome, awesome sunrise shots! What beautiful skies! (so wide) ;)

Karma looks like she loves that exercise egg. I bet it'll keep her busy for days and days. Loved that last shot of her. :)

That's one good thing about random hours... At some point you get to see all phases of the day. LOL!

Awwww! That's cute! Glad Karma loves her egg toy from Leah so much! :)

Great quote!

Laura--True! It only looks like that for a few minutes as the sun is coming up over the horizon and them it's gone. I'm new to your blog. I'll have to look for a picture of Milo! :)

Dee--I'm looking forward to "meeting" your mother as your story unfolds. My 90 year old Dad loves to read my blog and points things out to my 82 year old mother. Let's just say I am working on forgiveness and healing. Most of the things that bother us in life are because of our expectations...that things shoulda, coulda, woulda been different...instead of accepting ourselves and others as the flawed, imperfect souls that we are, you know? I've been working on that my whole life. Baby steps. But I am heading in the right direction. ;)

Desi--Thanks so much!! Glad you liked them. :):)

AliceKay--Probably the only reason Karma hasn't lost interest in that egg for weeks is that it has food inside--ROFL! (Don't tell her it is diet food!)

Tori--True! And the sunrise is a lot quicker than the sunset for some reason. I just realized I have very few sunset shots---hummm?

Beautiful sunrise!!! That Karma! What a funny cat! A friend recommended I get our new border collie a 'puzzle ball' which must be very similar to Karma's new toy!

Rita said...

Carol--A border collie would probably love it. They're such smart dogs! And food is a great motivator--LOLOL! ;)

Rita, at first I thought that was a real "pastel painting" of the sunrise. I would LOVE to paint it for real, have only done sunsets. Sunrises sound so much more full of promise!

Hope you are keeping well, Karma lloks so content - a very happy kitty for sure!

Cheers,

Cindy

We found a toy for Freddy that he absolutely loves. Much like the new egg for Karma. You put treats in it and Freddy has to work hard to get it out. Every night at 9 pm without fail... he asks for that toy!! Karma makes me giggle!

I hope you and karma don't fight over that toy.. you'd probably lose.

That sunrise is beautiful.

The speed of light is the fastest speed there is, meaning that light can be seen quicker than anything else. And that - if I'm not mistaken - is the reason for sunrises being quicker... It takes less time for light to appear than it does for it to disappear, if that makes sense. That's just my theory though.

Rita said...

Cindy--Feel free to use any of my skies! I'd love to see what you created! :):)

Nikki--That's so cute that you even have a time for the puzzle toy! Freddy is a smart boy! :)

Iggy--Oh, I'd never lose if there was a fight. That's probably the only thing that keeps Karma in line--ROFL!!! ;)

Tori--That might be why the sunrises are so quick and the sunsets are slower. I never thought of that. ;)

Cody can be like that with his new toys. He loves little squeaky toys best. We always buy the same for Cody and Jack but, unfortunately, Jack usually punctures his and kills the squeak within seconds so we have to try and keep Cody's toy away from Jack....not easy to do at all.

That is a beautiful sunrise!

Toriz said...

Well, sounds logical to me anyway, so it's the theory I'm going with! :)

Rita said...

Serena--I'm terrible. I can't remember Jack. I thought you just had Cody. Sounds like Jack needs a "kong" toy! They're supposed to be indestructible...but I don't think they have one that squeaks--LOL!

Tori--:)
