Friday-9am: F

Fish!!
****
This afternoon Dagan is bringing me fish shopping!!
****
I am also getting aquarium plants, some flake food, air stones, and in all likelihood I shall relent and buy a cheap heater because I feel sorry for them being so chilly in there. I am hoping to find spotted corydorus and otocinclus for bottom feeders and algae cleaning. The tetras are mid tank fish that don't eat off the bottom. I suppose I could use a couple more fish but not sure what I want. And plants--whoohoo! Love live aquarium plants!! Been many years since I've gotten new fish...at least 5 or 6...so this is exciting! Well, to me it is--LOL! ;)

Karma was resting so long in the sun that it had moved out of reach. She was sleeping so soundly she didn't notice me quietly sneaking up with my camera, either. Notice the face still pointed into the long gone rays--LOL!
But when she heard the click she opened her eyes...deliberately ignoring me and looking for the sun. Cats hate to admit they're actually surprised by anything if they can help it. Well, except for those cats who absolutely live for excitement, of course. I have lived with cats like that, but Karma is not one of those thrill seeking felines.
She does acknowledge me and my camera in her Karma way...by talking, posing, and stretching.
The strip of heavy plastic next to the door is left over from the plastic we used to cover the wooden craft table. I put it there in the summer (when I remember) so that when it rains I can leave the porch door open and the carpet doesn't get wet. I'm not sure how well that really works, but Karma loves to lie on the plastic...and occasionally goes into a pawing, foot-slapping, back arching, leaping cat frenzy over it. Now that's entertaining. ;)
****
It's supposed to get into the 60s, but that is what they said yesterday and the wind was so chilly I had to keep it closed up all day. Same so far today--brrr! Even though it says it's 48 degrees...the wind says otherwise. Going to have to wear some layers to the pet shop, I guess.
****
Have a great day! For me...I have fish, fish, fish on the brain!! :):)
****
Well, and hoping I will be able to make the less stressful trip, too, of course. No pills or starvation once again. Wish me luck! ;)

I have always wanted a gigantic fish aquarium... like a big wall one. But I don't know how to care for them so I had better not. Karma is cute as ever! :)

If you ever get a new phone in the future, aim for an iphone. There is an app on it that uses your location and tells you where the nearest public restroom is, no matter where you are! That could be a life saver!!

Will look forward to seeing what you bring home on your fish expedition! Sounds like fun! Karma is so cute stretched out like that! To be so content resting on the floor, I'd like that :)

Have fun picking out your fish.
I have a small pond in my yard and 13 goldfish and koi in it. I really enjoy sitting out there and listening to the waterfall and having my coffee.
Your kitty has beautiful coloring!

Karma is something else. lol

I'm also looking forward to seeing what you might have brought home from the fish store. I bet your aquarium will be full of life and color again. Hope you managed the shopping trip well, too. *hugs*

I've never been able to get into fish. I love to watch a fish tank, but I have not been very successful as an owner. As for cats, I adore them. So smart and such strong personality

Hope fish shopping went well. I used to love watching the fish in the fishtank... Very peaceful!

Hey, even if the plastic doesn't help with the rain issue, it's worth putting it down for the Karma vs plastic entertainment! LOL!
