Thursday-8am: Q

Quill.
The one on the right is a true hand-cut quill pen, but it is the one on the left that is my ultimate favorite of all my dip pens...or nib holders to be technical, I guess. It looks like a quill with a brass nib holder.
I love the weight of it in my hand. The slight wisp of air as I write...with my favorite nib (Tape).
Q is for my sweet quill pen. ;)
The sun is rising these days over by the water tower.
Last night I had one of the handmade candles going I got from Tori...
...in the handmade candle holder that Leah made for me in her pottery class. Nice!!
Handmade gifts are the best, aren't they?

Happy Thursday!! :):)

Of course, I should have realized you would choose "Quill" for your Q word. I was pleased to see what one looks like. It's been awhile. :-)

That is a great candle holder that Leah made! She needs to make more and sell them. SO I can get one too, LOL

Agree about hand made gifts. When I was a kid I always yearned for a quill pen, tried to make them myself out of feathers I found but they never worked!

Your quill pen is very special to you. Even if you hadn't said it was your favorite, I could tell it was by the way you described it. :)

You take pictures of sunrises and I take pictures of sunsets. This sunrise is beautiful. (i love water towers, by the way). I took some pictures of a beautiful sunset last night. Will post them when I get a chance. :)

That's a great candle holder and the candle Tori gave you fits inside well. Looks soothing and comforting.

I hope your Thursday was a good one.

Gotta love handmade gifts! :)

Did you enjoy the candle's scent? Was it strong enough?

Is there anything Leah can't do? LOVE the candle holder she made.

What a beautiful sunrise!

I've never used a quill pen but I imagine it would take a little getting used to being much thinner than average pens and pencils.

I've been secretly (until now) practicing with a quill tipped pen hoping to get a nicely written letter done. Its a whole new feel from writing with a ball-point.

Handmade gifts are the absolute best!
