Tuesday-10:30am

Tuesday already?  Goodness!  This week flew by.  We had a little bit of blue sky...
...but mostly this--clouds and drizzly rain.
This morning the clouds are gathering again but our prescient weatherfolk say mostly clear and not much chance of rain.
I have been dealing with a crazed automatic garage door since Caroline and I were out there last Wednesday to get my fans.  Every day they told me it was fixed and every day it was still jerking and totally uncooperative.  Of course, this was all happening while Leah had brought over a borrowed charger to try to jumpstart the 92 Paseo that has been dead in my garage for over two years--so Leah and/or I were in and out every day.  Once I had to go to the office to have somebody manually close the door for me (too short to reach)...
****
Let's just say that there was a tow truck involved, I still can't use my garage, they said they were calling the garage door opener people Monday but I haven't heard anything yet and just left a message at the office this morning requesting information as to door status...but look who is sitting in the parking lot!!
Little red Pita Paseo made it over here under her own power on Saturday!  She had her oil changed, a new battery, and new battery connector cables.  Dagan found a baby mouse poop in the kleenex box I kept on the passenger seat.
****
OMG!  I might have mice in the garage!  No eyes were laid upon any of the darlings.  I dearly love mice (just ask my dad--we had a live trap vs. killer trap contest going in the basement when I was a kid) and would hate to have to hunt them down, you know?  They could have left two years ago for all I know.  Let's hope they stopped by briefly and are long gone, right?  I may love them, but they chew everything!!
****
Anyways, Dagan and Leah picked up Pita Saturday.  Then they picked me up late afternoon and I spent all evening over there (and forgot to bring my camera or to take pictures with my cell--duh!--even though Leah and I discussed a belly shot at one point).  I got to see all the baby stuff scattered about from the three showers and the used goodies they bought from her sister and a friend.  Yup!  We really need to work on getting the baby's room set up now that Leah's sister, Ariel, just recently moved out and off to Minneapolis.
****
Oh, they have been setting up the guest room, though..  They have another beautiful high double bed in there that they said I can use if I stayed overnight.  I told them that I would need a stool.  They didn't believe me.  Well, I proved it to them.  Just be glad there's no video of a short fat lady having to jump and kick and roll to finally make it up on the bed--ROFL!
****
They also got the new recliner in their living room...and I love it!  I'll have to remember to take some pictures next time I am over.
****
Leah was busy running errands yesterday.  I have Cashwise coming today and D&L have company tonight.  I just got a call back from the office a few minutes ago and they won't be here until probably tomorrow to fix the garage door...and now I had to tell her that my garbage disposal died, too.  Luckily she said the disposal probably only needs to be reset.  I hope that's all it is...but now I have to wait for him to come for that, too.  So, I'm not sure when I will actually be able to drive Pita again over to D&L's.  (Yes, I drove her home late Saturday night--and the windshield badly needs a cleaning so I have paper towels by my purse.)  I don't need to be here when they fix the garage door, but I want to be here for the garbage disposal, you know.  (Karma would freak!)  Hopefully I will be able to make it over there tomorrow if all goes well.  :) :)
****
In the meantime...
Karma using the hard arm of the desk chair for a pillow.
Her 20 hours of sleep have been interrupted lately by all my up and down activity--LOL!  My craft table is a mess.  Can you even see my thermal mug for T Stands For Tuesday?  I have letters I'm answering, onesies to draw on, Christmas cards to stamp, journal to write in, youtube videos to watch, emails to respond to...and some stuff is just sitting there because I haven't made room yet to put it back in the bedroom.
The bedroom.  I know.  I wanted to do the living room next, but it was soooo bad I couldn't get to my bookcase and barely get into my dresser to get socks--LOL!  I forgot to take a before shot--so this is a "during" shot.  I've been sorting, cleaning, and moving things little by little all week.
Everything is a long, slow process for me anymore--LOL!
But I have made a lot of headway and I can tell I will really like using the old shoe rack for more shelving up there on the dresser.
Let's see...
Oh, I've also been watching the Ancient Aliens series as the DVDs arrive from Netflix.  Absolutely fascinating to me.  (I have always found it quite arrogant and egocentric of us to believe we are the only intelligent life forms in the universe.)  And Leah cut my hair for me Saturday--ahh!  I think that's about all I can think of from this past week.  Just glad my AC worked--LOL!  It went from chilly to hot up here practically overnight.
****
I will be thrilled to see familiar groceries entering my abode today.  Whew!!  In fact, they will be here any time in the next two hours, so I had best move my behind.  Hopefully I will post again before a whole week gets past me--but you never know--LOL!  ;)

Yes, Maya was a great human being and will be missed. At first I thought you were talking about someone else, so I went back to check and make sure I didn't miss something important in your post. Glad to know you're making progress, Rita. :-)

what a week you've had my dear! Oh isn't it so exciting to see all the baby things and the nesting going on? I think you're doing a great job getting thru your own reorganizing. I seem to get thru only one drawer or cabinet and stop because I'd rather be doing something else-like art:) Wishing you a happy T day.

My first car was a Ford Escort that caught on fire. Someone named it "Putt Putt.". Apparently a lot of Escorts caught on fire. Your Pita reminded me of Putt Putt.

You are always complaining how untidy your place is and you are always clearing up. I can see no mess! None at all!.

You must be the tidiest person around.

I am impressed that you are driving your little car again. Well done, girl!

Hello again, dear Rita! You certainly have been a busy bee. Slow progress toward a goal is progress just the same and you will derive satisfaction from it. I hope you get all squared away with the garage door and disposal unit w/o Karma having a fit. I still can't get over the fact that she seems to seek out hard surfaces on which to rest her head and snooze! :) Living in Florida it's hard for me to imagine you having hot weather way up there. I'm sure your summers are short and soon it will be snowing and blowing again. Beautiful skyscapes again in this post. Thank you! It was also nice of you to quote Maya Angelou, one of the great spokespersons of our time. Take care, dear friend!

Your cloud photos are always so pretty :)
The sorting looks like it's moving along.
Every Tuesday I look to see if there is baby yet :)
Happy T day to you.

You seem to have SO much more energy now that you are off the PLAN. I can tell how much you are doing and how excited you are to be participating rather than watching from the sidelines (scratch that, from the loo).

I wish Bleubeard would pose like Karma does. I always watch with anticipation.

Did you know Maya Angelou has ties to Wichita? She taught at Wichita State and her brother lives here. The city even named a library for her back in the 80s, I think. Long before I moved here, but still!! Yes, she will truly be missed.

Tuesday seems to come around awfully quick these days. You desk looks like it belongs to a busy creative person - which you are.

Not too many early 90's cars have survived...congrats. You are one busy lady arranging and rearranging. That is one job I really hate. Organizing is not my strong suit. I have a pretty good spacial memory...for now...so I tend to leave my randomness, well, random.
Happy Tuesday!

I see that Karma found another hard pillow this week. Cats take their sleeping so seriously, but they sometimes look so silly. :)

I'm glad that things are back to normal this week and that you've resumed your usual activities. And hooray for regular groceries! Enjoy your Tuesday evening.

PS Thanks for letting me know that my video worked. Now that I know how to embed videos, a whole new side of blogging has opened up for me.

I think Karma had better spend some time in the garage, although my cat is no good at mouse hunting in the house, but it's worth a try

Hi Rita, sorry I'm late for tea, my day has been a lot like your garage door story, only mine involves a refrigerator.....LOL

Karma looks cozy, if not a bit awkward.....grin

Glad you got you car all spiffed up and running again.

Thanks for the visit and happy T-day

Hello and Happy T Day a little late. I love the cloud pictures!! Busy week you've had, YAY for your car starting! I think all pets sleep in the oddest places to us but to them anything works.

Have a good week and YAY for new baby things too.

So exciting, waiting for the new family member to arrive! Strange to think soon this new person will be such a familiar part of your life!

Woohoo! Got the car going! And thank goodness it was BABY mouse poop instead of grown-mouse poop. Or even Mickey Mouse poop. That would have been spectacular. Happy Tuesday a day late! :)

Maybe the mice keep double crossing the door so they can get in and our more easily!

I think I need a nap just from reading your activities!

You are definitely kicking butt there!

Hope the garage door and garbage disposal problems got fixed.

I also hope the little mice were just passing through and have moved on to somewhere more suitable than your garage. I love little rodents, but I do agree that they chew things a little more than is tolerable sometimes, which isn't so bad if it's pet ones you have in a cage and can keep away from things you'd rather not be used as rodent chews, but rather annoying when it comes to free rodents.

I have to chuckle about the bed. I can just imagine your attempts at climbing on and off it; They should get you one of those little step things so you can climb on to the bed using the step.

Hope you get over there to sort the baby's room out with Leah soon, so it's all ready for when the little guy arrives.

I'm a firm believer that there's plenty of other intelligent beings out there, but that they've seen the sorts of things the human race gets up to - most likely from radio and television signals that are beamed in to space - and are avoiding us. I think they figure if we're so cruel to our own species then it's safer for others to stay away from us. If I'm right, then I'd say that's a smart move on their part.

We don't have garbage disposals here down under, well if we do I have never been in a house with one

Sucks when things don't work so I hope you get the garage door fixed soon.

I have to say reading this post made me exhausted

Great to hear that you got the car going

Beautiful cloud pictures. Hope you get your garage door fixed soon. So frustrating. The ancient alien DVD sounds interesting...I may have seen parts of that on TV. Yes, Maya Angelou will be missed. I used a quote by her on my blog today as well. Have a good weekend!

Lovely sky shots and a great Angelou quote.

You know me, I can't bear to think of another sentient being getting hurt/killed so it's 'catch and release' traps all the way here. Hopefully, they were just taking shelter over the winter months and have since moved on. I agree, mice are very cute and I always think, well, they're only looking for shelter or are hungry. Life's tough for animals in the wild nowadays with humankind consistently taking over their territory. But yes, mice can chew things they shouldn't and that's the reason we catch them and move them on to the wooded creek area at the bottom of our street.

Michelle and Alex just got a high bed too....Beau's had one for a while and Cody and Jack can no longer jump up on it. I won't ever get one because I would always want my doggies to have free access to my bed. Even when Beau lifts them onto his bed, I worry that they will try to jump off and hurt their legs in the process.

I'd never heard of garbage disposals in Australia either (Jo-Anne Meadows) until we moved into this house which does have one. I think they gained popularity with all the home decorating shows over the past ten years or so. I don't use mine very often as I try to conserve water but they certainly are very handy thing to have. I was actually afraid of mine when we first moved in...didn't use it for the first three years of living here. lol

You always have some organisation project on the go, Rita. I wish I could be so organised.
