New Year's Day! 11:15am

Happy, happy 2015!!
Miss Karma slept through the greeting of the new year.
No surprise.  LOL!
Last night I got out a couple candles, did my burning bowl ceremony, and picked an angel card for 2015.  LOVE!  What a great card for the new year!!
This card is all about when things seem too hard or I am feeling impatient to do more that I should surround myself with people who love and respect me...loving myself and finding the best in others...not to feel overwhelmed by life's demands or a lack of clear focus in my life because I am in a spiritual clarification phase.  I can't be all things to all people...discriminate between people who add to your spiritual path and those who detour you.  Allow others to help me...share in the creativity.  Acceptance of myself as I am will give me greater comfort and solace.  :):)
****
What a wonderful card for 2015.  I think this should be my word for the year...LOVE!!
****
And speaking of love...this little man changed our lives in 2014 in more ways than we could have ever imagined.

[Note: I forgot I had to get this video up on youtube before I could post it in here and that's why it is now 2pm--LOL!  Youtube was busy on such a monumental day, I guess--but Gramma is patient--lol!]
****
I am working out a new planner/calendar/journal system this year.  I started a couple months ago and have already learned that I cannot possibly get everything into one spot.  I love my Franklin Covey and am in the process of making it the main "information-station" for all my permanent lists (like addresses/phone numbers & birthday/Christmas card lists) and the monthly calendar.  But I need something smaller I can move about and throw in my purse for the daily stuff.  I am thinking of trying a couple of things--a smaller filoflax and making a bullet journal.  This is so much fun for organizing me!!  I'm sure by 2016 I will know exactly how I want things set up...and will probably use that system for the next fifteen years--LOL!
****
I made my yearly goal list, too.  I think of it as just a big to-do wish list.  Kind of my yearly bucket list--LOL!  I'm lucky if I get close to touching upon even half of it.  I always think I can do more than I'm able to accomplish in real life, but I love having the motivation and reminders.
****
I'm not much one to look backwards, but 2014 was a wonderful, exciting year!  In the coming year there will be a lot of exciting adventures with Mr. Ian.  (They are so much fun when they are learning and experiencing new things!)  I plan to attempt to keep up with some weekly and monthly art challenges in the coming year.  (Not sure if that will be attainable, but I want to try.)  I plan to get back to purging everything I own and will continue to give the apartment its well-earned facelift.  I want need to become simpatico with my new sewing machine.  Maybe get back to making more videos...
****
No matter what...life will continue to be interesting to Miss Karma and I in our little corner of the world.  I'm glad I have all of my online friends to visit with, too.  I've been in a fibro flare since about Halloween. (You may have noticed there has been little art/cards/sewing/anything extra going on, but I try not to let it dampen my days.) The flare seems to be slowly lifting recently--whoohoo!
****
I had really let this apartment complex get to me this past year, but I am back to being happy to be here in my very own sanctuary.  Have always loved my little apartment.  :)  I'm on three waiting lists for a senior apartment--but only want to move if it is the same or better than here, right?  At this very moment I am filled to overflowing with a bubbling gratitude and joy.  Bubble-bubble-bubble!  How could life get any better?  :)
****
Looking forward to this brand new year ahead.
****
Maybe dance to Happy every day!  (Yes, I'm still listening and loving it--LOL!)
****
May this be a year filled with more bubbles than you could have ever imagined!!  :):)

Hi, Rita! Kitty Kat Karma couldn't stay awake till midnight to watch the ball drop? Maybe she isn't interested now that Dick Clark is no longer the host of New Year's Rockin' Eve. :) I think Karma could sleep through just about anything.

I watched the Ian video in absolute awe. I still say he's the most beautiful baby I've ever seen and it warmed my heart to see the look on his face when he discovered the joy of eating "solid" food. What a joy and a blessing he is!

Love is indeed the answer. Happy new year, dear Rita!

You always have such a positive attitude, and I know how much the old apartment thing threw you off. But as usual, you're making it back to your old self. Sending you and Miss K all my best wishes for the new year. :-)

I noticed Ian only made a sour face when the avocado came OUT of his mouth--Happy new year, Rita!!

Karen Smithey said...

Ian looked like he enjoyed the avocado, and like he really wanted that spoon! I still remember Jenny's first solid food--Richard videotaping and Katie and Joel observing, one on either side--Katie shrieking "She likes it! She likes it!" at Jenny's willingness to swallow :)

Hope you start to feel better. You always seem to get so much accomplished, regardless! You're an inspiration!

I think Love is a great word for the new year especially with that youngster around!

Happy New Year Rita.......and Karma!

Ian seems to be more interested in the process of the spoons movements than what is going into his mouth.....LOL It won't be long and he will want "to do it himself". He sits in the highchair like a trooper, he is such a cutie pie. Reminds me of the Gerber Babies that used to be on the baby food jars.

Love is always a great word. Your apartment may be small, but between Karma, Ian and the rest of your family, friends and helpers, it is packed full of LOVE!

Good luck on the purging, my house needs it desperately. My biggest problem is my DH doesn't want to throw anything away.......LOL

Glad to hear you might start J52, it is a lot of fun and in this group, if you fall behind, it isn't a problem. They do share on Face Book, and some people even started months later.

HAPPY NEW YEAR RITA!!! May your year be filled with Blessings ♥ That was such an adorable video of Ian and his first solid meal. Loved how he would reach for the spoon and bowl for more :)

Happy new year to you, Karma, Ian, Leah, and Dagan!

What a great card to pick, and a great word for 2015!

I'm glad Ian's first solid food experience seems to have been successful.

Those sound like reasonable goals for the year.

I love your positive spirit. The word "love" is a given for you. And that baby.. sigh! He's like a little eating machine. You'd never think it was a first time for either of them.

I have finally figured out what happens to my comments on your page. If I type them in this box without signing into Blogger first, they don't show up after I sign in and come back. The little box is empty (like it is now) and my comment has disappeared. :( Now if I can only remember this for the next time I comment without signing in first.

Happy New Year! Love is a great card and a great sentiment. Hoping your new year is full of love and family.

Ian did a great job eating his first solid food. I was surprised at how much of it actually stayed inside his mouth. lol Love watching his videos. Thanks so much for sharing.

I realize I'm very, very late visiting, but the bug has hit again. I adore that LOVE card, and that really could be your word for 2015. I don't make many predictions, but I seem to fall behind anyway. So, don't feel bad if you don't get to accomplish everything you hope to in 2015. At least you have your own transportation, someone to shop for you, and a loving family with that miracle Ian.

Hope your New Year was as great as you indicated. And Bleubeard says hi to Karma because the two of them are probably taking the same kind of nap. Squiggles, on the other hand, is running rampant through the house (grin).

I love this happy post! 2014 has been a good year for both you and I - both of us blessed with new grandchildren so life is good, even with the rough stuff. :-) I have been using a modified Franklin Covey planning system since it first came out in the 1980s. I would love to see the planning system you come up with. I quit using the actual Franklin Covey Day Planner years ago due to cost, and now use just a regular daily planner but I still use the principles I learned. Your grandson is just so darn cute! What love! Thanks for sharing the video. With your positive attitude, 2015 is off to a good start for sure. Thanks for sharing, my friend! God bless you in this coming year!

Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family, Rita!!! We brought the New Year in at Michelle's and Alex's place....it was a wonderful night and Cody and Jack even came along. :)

LOVE is a perfect card to get for 2015! I hope your year is filled with lots of it.

Ian was so adorable eating solids for the first time....too cute!

I'm not very good with planners....I start out well but I then get lazy at keeping up with them.

Glad to hear your fibro flare is finally starting to ease off albeit slowly.

YAY for bubbling joy and gratitude! Like they say, to be able to draw in more of the same, you have to be happy and grateful for where you're at.

Have a lovely week!

Hugsssssss to you and Karma ~ xo
