Books! Been so long since I have purchased new books! :)

I have liked Debbie Ford since reading her book about the shadow self years ago. She has this new one that I thought sounded like a good new year book--the 21-day consciousness cleanse. And then I had heard about this American who spent many years translating these old documents from the Vatican about the story of the Magi. Sounded most interesting! Revelation of the Magi.
And then The Disappearance Of The Universe just sounded intriguing--and it had a deck of cards to go with it called Enlightenment Cards.
I still have one more book coming about healing illnesses with macrobiotics. Can't remember the title, but I'll show it to you when it arrives.

I couldn't believe the length of packing paper that came crumpled inside the laptop stand box! I tried to straighten it out--all the while Karma was attacking it. But, of course, when I got the camera out all she did was find a spot to lie on it--hehe!
Let's see. Been doing the SC/meditation sessions almost every day. Working on accepting and allowing the energy to be for me, too. Sounds easy? Well, not for me. One of my issues in this life is feeling unworthy on a deep level. It's something that the mind can grasp but the heart cannot. I am working on it.

GA got my attention by telling me that the energy will work better for others if the straw is also included. That motivated me. :) Yes. I am a work in progress.

Five below at the moment with the sun shining. The washer and dryer are going. I've been sleeping at night for a while. Have new books to read. Life is good! :):)

I love having new books! Book shops are the only kinds of shops I can happily spend hours in without getting bored... Take me in any other kind of shop and you'll be lucky if I last five minutes before I'm bored, but take me in to a book shop and I can stay there all day! Mostly I buy my books online now because it's easier for me to browse for new books that way, but I still love going in book shops! Anyway, I hope the new books are as good as they sound, and wish those kinds of books were easier to get hold of in braille or audio.
Enjoy the new books. They sound interesting.
I think they cut down big trees in order to pack things for shipping these days. Seems like a big waste, too.
Karma looked like she wasn't sure what that long strip of paper was doing there on "her" floor. Finding a temporary resting spot seemed imminent, tho. LOL
We've had temps in the 20s all day long with snow showers and snow qualls most of the day. It's snowing pretty hard out there right now.
Sounds like you are one happy camper!! So great to hear it! Karma is awesome!!!!!!
Tori--I can spend hours in book shops, too! And in craft stores, art stores, and office supply stores--hehe! ;)
It has to hard to get ahold of books in braille or audio. I'm curious. Are there places online that deal with just books distributed in those forms? I figured you would know.
AliceKay--That's why we recycle the packing paper. Either for actual packages or paper making. I was straightening it out to fold it up to go to Leah's. ;) Stay warm!!
Jeannie--Yup! I've been a pretty happy camper over here lately. ;)
I keep disorganizing myself out of meditation habits and then fighting my way back into them, and it's always worth the effort when I do get back into them. This post was a great reminder.
Yes, there are. Titles are limited (and with audio especially, prices are high) but there are places online that deal with books in only or mostly braille or audio. The RNIB (Royal National Institute for the Blind) has an online store, and all their books are braille or large print. There's a sight called "Future Aids: The Braille Superstore" that deals with only braille and audiobooks (though they do also do braille and text books, which are braille books with print on them too). Also, there are places like Audiobooks.net that just do audiobooks. Places like Amazon and Play.com (well, the UK version of Play anyway) also sell audiobooks, though they don't specialize in them, so their titles are even more limited. I do like shopping from Play.com though, because if they have it then the chances are that it's going to be cheaper than anywhere else online or in store, so I always check there first when looking for an audiobook. Waterstones and WHSmith sell audiobooks too and have online shops (I don't know if you know, but Waterstones is one of the biggest bookshops in this country, and has always been one of my favourite shops to be in, and WHSmith is a general media shop, meaning it sells everything from stationary and books to CDs and DVDs).
How are you liking your Copics?? Check out this woman on YouTube:

Sounds like you are having a wonderful time with all these lovely books and the wrapping. I've never seen wrapping that big before, and how cute Karma is, even if she is just finding the next best spot to rest. Well done for capturing her on film! That's what counts.
Did you know that every being is born with the feeling of unworthiness? And did you know that this is created after we separate from our mother's womb. These feelings are then trapped into our emotional bodies and then later uncovered in future situations, and it is through them that we feed our ego.
Have you ever looked at it that perhaps the heart cannot grasp the feeling of unworthiness, is because it is not true? And that it is just a separator from what you truly feel. Digging down under these feelings, one can begin to truly observe what is going on. There is a positive to everything, and for most part it is the negative that drags us down, because it is the easiest route.
I hope that you find peace of mind wherever you are, and I also hope that my website can inspire you or at least bring a smile to your face with the insights that I share.
Also feel free to visit my crafting blog at www.crafting-insights.com where I am also taking part with creative every day.
Have a Very Happy New Year and beyond, and am happy that you are well, and life is good. Keep enjoying.
Tatty--Consistency is not my middle name--so I can totally relate. I can never understand why, when I feel better when I do something, that it is such a problem to get going and do it? *sigh* :)
Tori--I figured you would know the websites. Sorry to hear most of them are on the expensive side. It's too bad they don't have more used braille and audio books for cheaper.
Jeannie--You're not going to believe this but I haven't tried them yet. Been so busy puttering with all the spiritual side of things recently that I've been using up my few good hours reading and journaling, etc. I did finally stamp some images last night, tho. ;)
I was already a follower of her website. She has good videos. :)
You have alot of reading to do and it sounds like your going to enjoy it all lol I have to admit Im not a happy with myself person most of the time and I have tried self help books but I just never finish them. Cats are just too dang funny with paper like that lol You take care and happy reading :o)
Welcome Ana--Was funny that long piece of packing paper came crumpled out of one small box.
I know what you mean about being born feeling unworthy--whether due to separation from mother or from God or from the Universal Energy we are all connected to. I find that one can intellectually have knowledge of these things, but it doesn't necessarily follow that the heart believes it also. My heart has no trouble grasping unworthiness. It is my head that understands it mustn't be true. It's the very digging down under that revealed this as a core issue for me. :):)
I'm a great believer in positives and learning from negatives. I will check out your websites. :)
Lynn--You certainly should be a happy with yourself person! You do so much for others and bring smiles to your blog friends. *big hug* Sometimes we are hardest on ourselves.
Miss Karma makes me laugh every day. I hope you have a happy day and lots of giggles. :):)
They have used audiobooks in some book shops, but you have to know which ones sell audiobooks. The other option is libraries, but the ordinary libraries don't do braille books, and I don't like to have books sent from the braille library, because people don't look after the books, and when braille books are battered like print books often get, they can't be read, so I don't want to go to the trouble of having the books sent, just to find I have to send them back unread.
Good grief... look at the length of that packing paper!!
I do NOT want to see this person using toilet paper in my office's bathroom!!!
Iggy--guffaw!! :):)
OH MY...that IS a very long stretch of packaging paper! lol
Brad is a member of the Queensland Blind Association but doesn't read Braille...although he has considered learning as we never know what the future may hold. He is lucky to have a small amount of vision in his right eye so he can get by with strong magnification aids with his face about an inch from the page surface. Even so, some book type can be so small that he can't read them even with a magnification aid. He has borrowed audio books from the local library from time to time.
We love our books too...the ones you speak of in this post seem quite interesting.
Serena--Tori has a lot of information. Might not be a bad idea for Brad to learn braille since he has such a hard time sometimes right now with certain books, etc. It would open up another area for him--more options. Not a bad idea at all. :):)
I've been enjoying the 21-days book. I haven't read either of the other ones, but I snooped enough on the Disappearance one to find out that is has something to do with A Course In Miracles. Luckily I did read ACIM years ago. I'll let you know when I get to them. Pretty busy with the course right now, tho. Enjoying it--even when it makes me cry old tears. ;)
