Wednesday-1:30pm

Antsy yesterday because of jaw/tooth pain. Ever since I had that cavity filled in the back right side, that side of my mouth has hurt. He had to pull and pull open my mouth to reach it, so I figured it was just the arthritic jaw--maybe not? Who knows? Hard for me to pinpoint pain, to be honest. And it has come and gone usually. Doing a lot of chewing seems to set it off and I had my last bag of popcorn a couple days ago--so I am thinking jaw. But it's still there--been a couple days. We'll see if it passes. Just soooo annoying. Throb. Throb. There are days I am so tired of pain.
****
But--I didn't take a pain pill--tada! Haven't since I quit them. So that's good. :)
****
Maybe I should say..."yet"--hehe!
****
I kept my hands busy and finished up the 30 burgundy Christmas cards.
Now--if Leah and I can ever get back to posting--ROFL! Obviously neither of our favorite part. We've been terrible procrastinators--hehe!
Honestly--I don't have the confidence of knowing what I am doing with the new computer systems. That's a big part of it for me. I'm not comfortable with finding or saving things in my documents--and we do a lot of copying and pasting for posting similar product items. Sometimes I feel like I did when I got my first computer. Not quite as computer ignorant as I was then--but...it's still a struggle.
****
Anyways, after that I got out our unfinished/recycling satchel...
...and dug thru that in the wee hours.
Organized a little. Picked out some things to recycle or finish up--parts for some odds and ends cards to make. I have a friend who has no computer, car, etc--and I send her blank cards sometimes that she can use to write letters. Her birthday is coming up. ;)
****
Dagan and Leah come over tonight! :):)
****
I should go get gas for PitaPaseo and get her back in the garage. I only have until tomorrow on one of my coupons (can use up to three and I have three good ones) and I have less than half a tank now. [Dagan and Leah would laugh. I always fill my car up before it gets down to a quarter of a tank.] I specifically saved out gas money this month. I get out so seldom that I think the last time I bought gas was 2-3 months ago! There's a silver lining to be house bound, eh? :):) Anyways, gas--today or tomorrow.
****
It got so hot in here yesterday. Hit the lower 80s, I believe. I thought I could manage to hold out--had the fans going to get the cooler air in here last night. But by the time I woke up at noon--arg! Already hot in here. So, I shut it up and put the AC on for the day--first time this summer. Leah and I melt in the heat--and I know it got warm in here when Amber was here, too--and now it's even warmer out. When it gets in the upper 70s...
****
I know you folks who live where it is really hot all summer are probably chuckling. It's not that we don't have people up here who wait anxiously for the heat--but I am not one of them. Of course, when you live in an apartment building on the top floor--whatever it is outside, it is usually 5-10 degrees warmer inside. So, maybe I'm not quite the wuss you may think I am--ROFL!
****
Karma freaked out with the combination of the lawnmower service arriving for the first time this year and starting up their mowers & weed wackers just as I was shutting the place up and putting the three fans on to circulate the cooler air into the bedroom. Yes--it's a summer noise fest up here--hehe! But three fans is the only way to get the cooler air to make a 180 degree turn into the bedroom. :)
****
BTW--I'm not sure how happy Karma really is with her new foods and treats. You know how she's always fascinated by anything new...well, that may have been why she tried everything--hehe! But--it's not like she isn't eating. She is. But not as much and she isn't begging for treats as often. I've been tossing her one "treat" at a time and making her work for them, too--so cruel am I--ha! And I've already found one that she wouldn't eat--twice now--even if it meant that was the end of the treats for her. And it's the Wellness chicken sample bag! And here I got her the Wellness Healthy Weight--so she will have a lot of it to eat. Oh well.
****
As if she is reading my mind, Karma was just begging for treats--threatened to pull the remote off the endtable. So, I relented and put a few in her silver treat can. She's happily scooping them out. She has such a hard life--ROFL!
****
Supposed to be sunny and hitting 80 the next couple of days. It's been drying up around here, anyways. What a beautiful afternoon!! :):)

I hope your jaw feels better! Tooth and jaw pain is the worst.
Great job on finishing all those cards. You have a lot more ambition than I do. They look great.
Gas for your vehicle only every two or three months? Wow that's great. I only put gas in about once every two weeks and I thought I was doing good.
We are still holding off on the AC. When I get home from work, I open up the windows at the back of the house and one in the kitchen and one in the living room and let the air blow through. I keep the heavy drapes closed on the front of the house since the sun sets on that side. When the sun goes down, I open up the front door to let the fresh air in. It's working so far. I think it would be great if we could get to June before we use the AC.

I hope your tooth and jaw pain has gone away. I know that can be painful. I'm pretty sure I have TMJ even though my dentist would never say for sure. When I asked him about it the last time I was there, he would only say..."you have some kind of jaw problem going on there." :\ I've been having problems with a lot of sensitive teeth, too. (i hate dentists)

Your cards look really nice. You did a good job on them. :)

We don't have our air conditioners in the windows yet, and Terri doesn't usually put them in until it gets warm and stays warm. Those days we had highs in the 80s here, it got hot inside this trailer...this room was 86 degrees and I was sweating. :\ We have 5 ceiling fans, one box fan at the end of the hallway, and another upright fan circulating air thru our trailer, but it really didn't help much. We don't have any shade anymore because we had to cut down the one tree that shaded our trailer a couple of years ago. It gets hot in here fast and stays hot.

I hope Karma's new food doesn't mess up her digestive tract. I know that happens sometimes when you change foods.

I open both my front and back door when it gets warm for air circulation because non of my windows open. When it gets to 90, it put the house fan on that is on the heater. You turn off the heat and just let the fan run and that helps a lot.

That concerns me about your jaw. If it keeps bothering you, don't ignore it. Sometimes they can accidentally put in a filling over an abcess or infection and it will just keep getting worse, so please don't ignore it.

Sorry to sound like a worry wart, but that can lead to really serious heart issues if it's not checked. Pain from them working on it should go away in just a couple of days, so continuous pain is different.

Barb--Me, too! Don't exactly need additional pain. :( You do well to only fill the car every two weeks when you're working and all. I try to put off using the AC, too. We are closed in all winter--and then summer, too. Plus--costly, too. :)

AliceKay--I've gone in before for things and they can't find anything anyways. That's why I want to make sure this stays before I go in. I lived in a mobile home once for a year and they can get really warm and stay warm. We had no trees, either--like being in a little oven sometimes. Thank goodness they invented ACs! :)

Sue--between my sinuses and the arthritis in my jaw--I just want to be sure if it's a tooth or not before I go back. I've had soreness off and on since I had the cavity filled, but not constantly. I've had that side on my jaw and neck swell up on occasion for maybe 8 years. I've been to doctor, dentist, and an ear-nose-throat specialist and they couldn't find anything. ?? Plus I hurt all over anyways--hard to pinpoint pain. If it is still this annoying on Monday, I am calling the dentist. I am beginning to think it might be a tooth. ;)

Sorry to hear you're in pain. :(

I don't deal with heat well. It doesn't get all that hot here usually anyway. Rain is our usual weather. But when it does get hot, I'm grumpy as anything, and no fun to be around. Partly because it makes the bit of sleep I do get even shorter, since my sleeping is worse during hotter spells, but partly because I just physically can't deal with heat... Get nasty heat rash. no fun! Much rather be too cold!

Maybe if you tape some of the new cards to the fans they will help cool things off?

:) They look great - Its still early for thinking about the winter holidays but hmmm... never to early to look around for cards... Maybe I'll see if the boss will use your cards for the business mailings...

P.s., Chicken "Wellness" treats? Even the name sounds icky.. LMAO... Poor poor Karma...

Toriz--I don't deal with the heat well, either--at all! Makes me nauseous and theres no way I can sleep when I'm hot, either. We didn't have air conditioning when I was a kid and I used to go down in the basement and lay right on the tile floor because it was the coolest place in the house. I totally agree with you! I'll take the cold over the heat any day. :)

Iggy--Between the red and the burgundy cards we have 55 of them--just so you know. ;) I know what you mean--the snowflakes do look like little whirlygigs that would spin in the wind--hehe!

You always give me a giggle! But I'm glad Miss Karma isn't eating by-products anymore. I never thought about what was in her food, either. With "chicken by-products" she was getting ground up beaks, feet, bones, guts, and who knows what else! Cat McNuggetts?! ROFL! :)
