April 28, 2025 Monday--5am

Greetings!
Was another week much like the last.  Still dealing with the bathroom issues, but other than that feeling better on the whole.  I went from a nearly empty frig to one that is currently packed.  Dagan dropped off food twice--leftovers from Easter dinner that were delicious and I still have some left.  Leah dropped off a grocery order, too.

When Dagan and the boys dropped off Easter dinner on Monday they stayed for a while.  Liam wanted to color some more on the mandala he's been working on with my Tombow markers.  I have to look for something to put underneath the page to protect the table.  He didn't have time to add a lot but he is having fun.
I was talking about how my kitchen table will be an art table in the middle of the studio at the new place and the kinds of things we can do once I get unpacked...like blow ink or paint around with canned air.  Dagan said we'd really need to put something on the table then!  That got me thinking about a tablecloth...so I went on an Amazon search for a colorful cheap tablecloth.  ;)

Allie staring at the door after they left.
Allie keeping me company as I searched online.
I found a fun tablecloth and it is already here!
I think this will look great in the new studio with two orange walls--lol!
Been warm.  Had a little rain on Sunday.  Supposed to be 98% chance today.  Good!  We need some rain.
Liam had a musical presentation at school last week.
Here Ian and Liam were before the event.  I think it was a western theme.  Liam had to borrow a plaid shirt, I believe.  LOL!
Was a typical school presentation and Leah took some pictures.
Ian got to pick up his pottery from his first class!  Not too bad.
I can hardly wait to see the fired results from his second class and Leah's class, too.

I wasn't up to watching much news.  Went for great escape fare.  Stargate SG-1!  I had seen a few seasons long, long ago on Netflix but never finished watching it because Netflix suddenly quit carrying it.  I found it on Prime and am having fun watching it.  Always kind of reminded me of Star Trek's original series, but with better special effects. ;)  I started over from the beginning.  Been so long I don't remember what the different episodes are about for a while, but am enjoying them even after I remember.  This was back when there were about 20 episodes per season...so, I have 10 seasons and 213 episodes to watch altogether.  Talk about fun, low-stress, escape TV.  Just what I needed.

Anyways, I hope it's been a good week for you all.  Allie and I are loving being able to have the patio door open part of the day.  Really does feel like an early spring this year.  I am so happy you have stopped by for a little visit.  Best to you.  *hugs from Fargo*

Hi Rita. I am glad to hear that you are feeling better. I love that fun and colorful tablecloth you got. That will be perfect in your new art room. Looks like Liam and Ian had a fun week too and they are both very talented and artistic like their grandma! I hope you have a good week. Always good to hear what is going on with you. See you again soon!

Hi Rita, What a cheerful tablecloth! I am watch Discovery Plus quite a bit all the house hunting shows..mindless...all the women are fussy about the kitchens and bathrooms...even in the million dollar homes. Rain and thunder this morning and boy did the grass green up fast!

You are rich in videos to stream! We are so lucky to have that available to us as a refuge from the news.

Wow! Easter dinner left overs sounds good to me. You are lucky to have family so close to you that helps out. The kids are getting so big. Ohhhh I love that table cloth. Perfect for the art room. I am so sick of hearing about all of the low life things this administration is doing I had to take a break from it too. Glad you found a series to watch.

That tablecloth will be perfect in your studio! My youngest son is a big fan of the Stargate series. If you can't find all of the episodes, Pluto TV has a Stargate Station 24 hr. a day and free. Liam's musical presentation sure takes me back to when my boys were young and my grands as well. Those are special days for sure.

Such a comforting slice of life—your week reads like a gentle quilt stitched with family, creativity, and cozy little joys. Liam coloring mandalas, the tablecloth hunt, Ian’s pottery—each moment is like a warm flicker in the day. Stargate SG-1 sounds like the perfect nostalgic escape. Wishing you many more sweet visits like these and peaceful studio days ahead.

You're warmly invited to drop by and read my latest post too.

I lost my comment, so I'm starting again. I love your pretty tablecloth, and Ian's wonderful pottery work. He's quite talented. I am late getting to reading my usual posts, so I apologize for not getting to you until now. It's Tuesday afternoon!

That tablecloth is adorable. I love it -- and you're so right about needing it. I'm glad the weather is looking up (for both of us!). Happy week!

Rita, I know how much you like changing your shower curtains and after seeing this new and colorful tablecloth, I'm wondering if you will do the same and switch different ones. Glad to read you were doing somewhat better this week. There's nothing "wrong" with escaping the news to watch escape fare. I've been doing the same a bit this week and catching up on reading as well.

Sorry I am late getting here, I follow so many blogs that some get missed at times. It 's good to read you are doing better and it's nice to have a full fridge. Allie is looking good, that is a fun tablecloth and the pottery looks pretty good as well. Hope you are having a good week.

Your new tablecloth looks pretty Rita :) Fun to see what Liam is doing. His pottery is great. I was always a big fan of StarGate. I will be checking it out now thanks to you. Good ‘take-me-away’ stuff is just the ticket. I am catching up after a two-week blog break when my family visited. I’ll be back! So good to be reading your posts again.
