October 12, 2025 Sunday

Greetings!
Wishes do come true!!  It was a boring week--lol!  I have gradually felt better and better.  The respiratory crud is about gone.  Sleeping better.  Basically recovered from the fall.  Allie got to watch the beginnings of the long unpacking!
Exciting news!  The little trays arrived...
...and they fit perfectly!!  This makes those paper shelves so very much more useful!  Can store all kinds of things in them, pull out the trays and bring them over to the table.  REALLY exciting!!  For me, anyways--lol!  I spent the last of my money this month to order some more as Amazon was almost out and you never know if items will be restocked.
Leah changed my shower curtain for me when I could still barely walk.  It's the previous one the boys had borrowed.  So nice to have a different shower curtain to look at.
By about Thursday I was doing baby steps for unpacking!  I'd have Dagan or Leah bring in a box or two to work on.
Packing paper being saved.  Dagan wants some of it for starting the fire pit thingie on the patio.  The rest will be recycled.
Oh, and Leah moved the paper shelves into the studio so I had the folding tables free again.
Dagan and I switched the litter pan.  So glad to have a sturdy one with high sides.  (Miss Allie was pooping over the sides of the cheapie short one.)
As I was emptying kitchen and pantry boxes I realized this is going to be a difficult challenge to figure out where everything is going to end up and still be organized.
So, I asked Leah to get down the empty bins we had stashed up on the dresser...
...because there is a dilemma.  Trying to fit a kitchen into a kitchenette...and then there's my entire pantry to go someplace.
Saving boxes to give away to somebody who can use them for moving.
Allie is glad when I take my many breaks--lol!
They could fit two to four boxes on the folding tables depending on the sizes and I would plug away at the unpacking.
Allie often was right under the folding tables...kind of on alert.
Haven't even gone through half the kitchen/pantry boxes (first two rows on the left side) but am making progress!!  Once the boxes are out, I can move in the bins that will be storing things for the pantry and kitchen--lol!
Yes, it is going to be like one of those sliding number puzzles.  Move this and then that...a lot of shifting from place to place to place.  I not only have a much smaller kitchen...I have these shelves in the back of the laundry/maintenance room.  Top two currently occupied with stuff of Dagan and Leah's.
Dagan will move the wires and their stuff to the top shelf, I believe, so I will have three shelves next to the washer and dryer.  That will be room for laundry stuff and other storage.
And then there is the storage room under the entryway...which is full of my studio boxes and some of their stuff.  (You can see the innocent looking upside-down rollie chair in the center front--lol!)  There is a set of shelves that covers the entire wall on the right hand side that was taken down and put in the garage so we had room to put boxes when I moved.  We will share those shelves.
This is why I need bins to put things in that will eventually be in the storage room or on shelves in the laundry/maintenance room.  A juggling act.  But it has begun.  It has begun!!!

I'm already finding a few things that will likely have to be donated.  Started a box with things I don't HAVE to keep.  Going to be a process, that's for sure.  But it feels so good to be started!

Allie likes the activity...but not too much of it--lol!  Interrupts her many naps.  ;)
Good thing I am feeling more human.  I have my ultrasound on Friday.  Next Tuesday I see the OBGYN.  Can't even imagine getting bad news, honestly.  Have had the whole thing on the back burner.

My smart watch arrived but they've been so busy I am not sure when Leah has time to figure it out and then teach me.  Soon, though.  They had an annual family/friend Octoberfest day yesterday where they made German foods for a big meal.  [We couldn't find the crock pot!  Looked everywhere.  Could be packed?]  Today is some kind of origami event for the whole family.  They are always so busy doing interesting things.

Me...I will continue to unpack and sort and ponder where things will end up.  I found "Narrow Escapes" on Tubi and am watching season one.  It's about narrowboaters in the UK and I finally found a way to watch it.  I have followed a few narrowboaters for years.  (Eclectic tastes--lol!)  I hadn't slept much at all for so long that I've been catching up on sleep.  A nap could happen at any time, too--lol!  Anyways, I am soooo happy to be FINALLY feeling better and better...and be FINALLY unpacking!!  I began to wonder if it would ever happen--lol!  Have a great week!  Till next time... :) :)
