Greetings!
Well, Dagan and Leah were down last Sunday. Dagan cleaned my bathroom, the floor, vacuumed, and washed the bathroom rugs. Leah attached the tall furniture to the walls in the living room, put bumper tape on my end tables where my laptop table leg rubs against them, adjusted ceiling vents, and made me dinner.
I had ordered Allie a new cat bed with a removable cushion. We were shocked at how small the box was.
I promised Liam I wouldn't cut it open until he and Ian could be there. Was pretty funny and not easy to pull out of the bag!
The cushion flew away--lol!
Did Allie like it?
She refused to step in it--lol!
I did moved it on the floor behind her red chair and have caught her smelling it a couple of times.
Wednesday. 87 degrees so cranked open the window. The whistling wind scared Allie to death and she hid in the studio almost all day. Such a silly cat.
Planning what I want moved around for temporary storage.
Got Dagan to grab me that taller one, too, from the studio.
Need a place to store the small appliances that belong in the pantry. Stuff on the red-legged table and from underneath. Then they can take that table apart. I love that little red-legged table but no room for it anymore.
Going to use the top of a dresser in the living room...
...to hold all these plant pots that have been sitting on the floor outside my door all these months. They are from IKEA and will have fake plants in them just for some greenery. The two bags on top of the dresser are full of the fake plants, I believe.
And I made a spot in the laundry room to move the stack of shower curtain drawers.
We need to get rid of all those moving boxes stacked here and there...and boxes full of packing paper...and the top pieces that won't fit the bookcases. Get it all out of here. Recycling or whatever. Need to make space so we can even move things around down here.
So...the strict diet has had nothing to do with anything at all. Was just the steroids that made any real changes to the inflammation. Now that is no longer an option. I am back to square one on testing foods and eliminating foods that might be an issue for me.
Man! Do I ever need to see some progress made on the apartment today. I really, really, really do. Waking up to my swelling hand hurting more again out of the blue...that is worse than the blind eye, to be honest. Never expected that. I am not even off the steroids yet! To say that took the wind out of my optimism sails is an understatement.
Sorry. I am very sad this morning.
Exhausted.
I will know more tomorrow...good or bad news.
Will deal with whatever I have to deal with. As we all do.
Thanks for every prayer, healing thought, good wishes. I've always felt your support. Love you all! Positive thoughts.

so sorry to hear about the rashes and the inflammation returning. You just can't seem to catch a break.
Hope Allie decides that the new bed is A ok. Maybe she's just waiting for that new smell to wear off.
I'm so sorry about the latest issue. One damn thing after another. It takes a lot to get you sad, and I hope for improvement soon in your situation. Dammit. It's not fair.
I hope Allie gets to use her bed soon. Cats take ages to decide what's safe!
Rita, I was sorry to read this update and can sense how frustrated and downhearted you are feeling. If words could offer comfort you would have bushel fulls from the myself and your blogger friends. I hope that you can keep that medical appointment this week.
Sounds like a very trying week but you are a trooper, just keep marching forward!
I am so sorry about all of this, Rita. I look forward to the progress made today, it won't help your hand but it will help your heart.
The Doctors need to figure this out. You need to feel better again and see properly and not be in the bathroom all the time. You need to do fun stuff!
Walmart has Caldesene Powder it has cornstarch and Zinc and will sooth your inflamed skin folds...no doubt you have a yeast infection that has gone rampant.
Your frustration and sadness is more than justified. Fingers crossed for some decent news from the eye doc...and for the disappearance of any and all rashes and swellings.
A couple of comments have gone through today, so I am hoping this will, too. I'm trying to think positive thoughts for you, dear. It seems the only luck you get is BAD luck. Let's hope you get some good news tomorrow at the eye doctor.
For not being up to par, you have got an awful lot done. But I'm so sorry the side effects have kicked in, making the steroids not an option.. Might there be other types of steroids that would work in their place? I have found when I get a rash in that spot (not the legs) that two things help it. Cortisone 10 over the counter cream (it's only .01 cortisone; not sure if that's too much) and a powder I have to get by prescription that is called Nystop (a nystatin topical pder, USP 100,000 USP units per gram. Manufactured by Padagis. You might ask your doc if they think that would help you, given that you have a lot of meds. I looked up steroid rashes online -- "Yes, steroids—specifically corticosteroids like prednisone—can cause yeast infection rashes." And this treats topical yeast infections, so it's worth an ask. It worked really well for me.
Sorry you had such a terrible reaction to the steroids , sounds like a rotten week. It can be frustrating tying to find space to store our stuff, even more so when you have others asking do you really need this stuff
I don't know what to say other than all of this sucks big time. Are the rashes improving as you go off the steroids? I'm so sorry about all of it, and I wish I could make it go away. Letter on the way. We'll chat by text tomorrow, I hope.
Love,
Janie
I am so sorry you have to go through this! ❤️
