May 17, 2026 Sunday

Greetings!
Yes.  Slowly feeling better.
Went back to see Dr. Anderson on Tuesday.  He was pleased with how everything is looking so far.  Just need to heal and we'll find out how much vision I get back over time.  I can already see big shapes that move and shift around.  I couldn't see anything at all before the surgery, so there is hope.  Seeing anything at all seems like a miracle to me.  :)

Been a total R&R week.
Allie is still in love with her cat couch.
I was finally able to hand write again so worked on letters owed all week.  My hand has been a bit more swollen and painful.  Still not up to much typing at all.  Glad I should finally get to see the new-to-me rheumatologist tomorrow.  Hoping she might have some new ideas on how to deal with all this inflammation.

As you can see, I wasn't up to much this past week.  Still recovering and dealing with headaches, but doing okay.

Wild card for this week:
I guess I have always assumed the universe is infinite.  The idea of it not being infinite and actually being smaller and more limited sounds scarier to me--lol!  I like the idea that we don't know everything and that the earth itself is just a spec in the vastness of space.  Puts things in perspective for me.  ;)  How about you?

I plan another week of R&R.  Chat again next week, my friends.  :)

It's wonderful to hear from you and to know you are getting some sight back. I've never thought otherwise about the universe. Simply looking at the sky at night tells us it is infinite.

I'm sure glad you are getting better. I hope the Rhumey can do something for the inflammation. R&R is the best thing for you. You heal when you sleep and rest. Hugs.

I'm glad you're starting to heal and a bit more hopeful about your vision. I agree with the tiny speck idea. It's helpful for when you feel everything's needing to be fixed right away by me! No, I'm a tiny fragment.

R&R is just what you need. I'm glad you got a good doc report and now a matter of healing. And you can write again. All good!

Glad to read that the vision may be improving, slowly but surely, Rita. Continued R&R may be the best thing now as everything else can wait. Allie seems very comfortable in her new bed.

I love seeing Allie's pretty little face at the edge of her cat couch, and I love every little bit of improvement you experience. I've always felt certain the universe is infinite and the thought has never frightened me.

Love,
Janie

Sorry I'm late visiting. We had massive storms, so I turned my computer off to save it from getting zapped.

I'm glad you are doing better. Just keep doing R and R . Hopefully things will improve even more, soon.

I'm like Carl Sagan. I believe the universe is infinite, too.
