September 21, 2020 Monday- 11:30am

Good morning!
I've still been feeling a bit withdrawn and not like talking...but in a good way, I think.  Still feeling calmer and less stressed, I guess.  Just been on a resting and healing retreat...peeking my head out from under the porch.  ;)  Been catching up on letters (finally), making soup, doing laundry...nothing extra really.
****
I went to McFamily's for a visit on Tuesday and then to the clinic for a blood pressure check on Thursday.  Exposure...so won't be visiting McFamily for quite a while because we are doing Caroline (cleaning at my place tomorrow) and Costco (Leah doing grocery shopping on Wednesday) and will quarantine for a couple weeks after that.  This month Dagan's work decided to pass on adding another 1/4 of the workforce at the office.  Covid on the rise here, so we are glad he can still work from home and go in after hours to fix computers.  :)
****
I called my mom around 4pm on Friday and she was in an ambulance!  On her way to the hospital because of the swelling in her legs again.  But they let her go home to her apartment this time instead of keeping her overnight.  I'm sure because she is now on assisted living there--so she has a nurse and others in and out to check on her and they take care of her pills, etc.  I am soooo glad she is where she is and not down in Florida all alone.  I talked to her again on Saturday and she is happy they have some new sports on.  She can't see or hear well enough to follow a movie but she can get the gist of basketball or football.  Glad she's home again.  :)
****
You may recall I forgot to get pictures of the partridges last week...well, it must have been in the back of my mind this week as it is the only pictures I took!
I'm not sure if I have one big group or two but they are here every day...usually more than once.  I have been sweeping into the grass when I clean off the patio and they love to search for the few seeds (preferred over the cracked corn in the mix that they all eat last--lol!).
****
I forgot to take a single picture when I was over visiting McFamily.  Leah forgot to send me pictures of Ian's "classroom" now with the little additions.  I know they were busy planting more trees this weekend, though.  Just one of those busy weeks over there.  Not sure how mine felt busy and flew by, but it did.  :)
****
Very short blog this week.  I know--you're shocked--ROFL!
Till next week...

Glad to know you are doing well, considering. And that you are staying safe and quarantining after each exposure. Such cute little partridges. :-)

Hi Rita - the partridges are very busy on your patio - live TV. So glad your Mom is in assisted living and the care she needs - and enjoys sports on her TV too. You plan your quarantine around appointments, Caroline help, McFamily visits and groceries is working well.
Hugs.

Those partridges sure look happy and healthy! I bet Annie is enjoying them too. I'm sorry to hear about your Mother having health problems but thank goodness she is in assisted living so she didn't have to stay in the hospital.

Sorry to hear also that Covid is on the rise there. It has been in Missouri as well and still there are people that think the Democrats made it up. I just can't believe some people!

You take good care of yourself and give Annie my love!

It's good that you're feeling calmer and less stressed now.

Love the partridge pic! I finally posted and included a couple of pics of Plovers with their babies. They visit our yard every day.

I wonder if elevating her legs will help your Mum? Good that she is happy where she is and that they are looking after her.

Stay safe and well, my friend. A letter is on the way to you. xo

Prayers for your mom. Hoping she will be good as new soon. Love the partridge photo. I think we have a bit of calm for some things . I Just keep my eyes upward and wait for Jesus. I try not to get too caught up in the ways of the world. I stress when we have too much to do though and we are cleaning out the garage. It has been a wild weekend but a fun one none the less. Good to be here. Have a great week and take care. HUGS across the miles XO XO
I did blog at annesphamily.blogspot.com today. That blogger, ack!

So glad that you are feeling less stressed and being withdrawn in a good way is not the worst thing. Happens to me all the time and sometimes I'm my own "best" company. Sorry to read about your mom but good that she will be getting assistance where she's living. The numbers in this city have not been terrible, but there have been some increases and most schools are doing online classes now. We only visit with a couple of others and for short periods, hard but necessary.

I'm sick of Covid-19 and tired of having to live this way!!! There! Now that's out of my system...

I'm glad your mom is where she is, close to family and in a place that checks on her.

What a fun show the birds put on :)

Just wanted to say hello.
I read your blog in my email so I don't make it here as often to comment.
So glad you and the family are being so careful.

I commented here before but forget to say, I hope with the fibro flare ups you don't drink diet products. I worked in the medical school and the docs all said it was a leading cause of flare ups with auto immune illnesses. I have a good friend who drinks Diet Coke like water and it makes me so sad because she has a hard time controlling her fibro. :-( My bad bones know not to drink any soda products period. Hoping everyone at your end of the world is much better. Please take care XO XO HUGS across the miles.

Happy your mom is back home and feeling better. The partridges really like the food you put out for them.
