July 8, 2024 Monday--5am

Good morning!
Monday.
The good news.  I did find all the picture downloads and even sat and relabeled each one of them so I can find them easily again.  Ordered the last of the paints and palettes.  I guess I actually started in May--so three months of gathering up the goodies.
The bad news.  SCOTUS ruling on immunity.

Tuesday.
I went over to watch the boys for a couple of hours again.  Always good. :)

Wednesday-Saturday
Upsetting week, shall we say. (See Monday bad news.)  So I totally immersed myself in laundry, cooking, baking, cleaning, and watching shows and documentaries.

We've had rain off and on still. Love the clouds!

I felt sorry for Allie when I moved her water back in the pantry.  She'd sit where it had been and cry sometimes.  So, I gave it back to her.  Allie had a great week!
She slept in a new spot.
Played with her water every day.
Slept in her little lounger chair.
Water dish--several times a day.
One happy girl!
Highlight of my week was the entire final order came on Friday.
Friday and Saturday.
Put all the new palettes together!
I have packed away all my larger stickers, so I used post-it notes to write down the colors in each palette for now.  Labeled each of the pans, though, too.  They are drying in the studio!
And the palettes are even pretty ones!
Funny, I actually paid more over 20 years ago to fill all these tiny homemade palettes than I did for all of these I just made up--lol!
Well, that's because only one of the brands was a more expensive brand.  One was so-so and the rest were crazy cheap--lol!  Not artist quality, shall we say.  But perfect for art journaling on buckly paper, ICADs, and painting with the boys.  If they enjoy watercolors they could each have a palette of their own.  Not that I am expecting them to love paint-play like Gramma does.  And they might prefer acrylics.  One never knows.  BUT--Gramma is going to have fun!  Gramma loves variety, as you know.  Like with my fountain pens, gel pens...even my coffee beans, for that matter.  And I use them all.  I am the great rotater--lol!  Even if I do have favorites. ;)

This was just the shot in the arm I needed.  Was a rough week...well, couple weeks.  Rougher than my usual worrying about the country again lately, shall we say.  I plan to use my extra spoons this week for studio play and more catching up with letters.  That's the plan.

Anyways, I am trying to watch minimal news.  Signed up for MagellanTV--all documentaries--and have been lost in nature, murders, and history--lol!  Been interesting escape fare. :)  Thinking positive.  Keeping as busy as I can.  Doing okay.  Allie is one contented water-loving cat again.  She may as well be before we move, eh?  LOL!  And I haven't had any more ants...knock on wood.  Best to you all!!!  Till next week, my friends...

I thought, at one point, the Supreme Court was becoming irrelevant; now I fear it has become both corrupt and hostile.

I wonder if playing in the water is soothing for her little damaged paws. She does look happy!

I do the things I can do/change...the rest will sort itself out. I do not have the energy to get upset about politics. Your palettes look good, I bet the boys will like to paint!

Lots of upsetting things going on in our nation right now. Ugh. We do our best to carry on. I also pray a lot. We enjoy documentaries too. Sounds like you had a good week. Fun pictures of Allie. She seems very content. It's always good when you can spend some time with your grandsons. Enjoy the coming week. See you again soon!

It seems nothing good can come from the GOP Supreme Court. That Trump got to pick 3 of them is just not right, and that they are ruling on Trump's cases is not right... Don't get me started.

Your week didn't kick off great but that's life for you.
I'm sure Allie is happier with her water were she wants it so she can play with it.
Playing with paint is fun for all ages

She looks happy playing and sleeping.

Thinking positively and doing something good or nice yourself is still the best.
P.s. We only eat cold soup on hot summer days and I rarely eat cold soup, I love warm meals.
A hug for you.

I also worry about where our country is headed with the Supreme Court. All I can do is vote!!

So glad Allie looks content. Those watercolors are amazing. Beautiful containers, too. Have a great week, Rita.

I won't comment on the current state of things because it's definitely not goodSo, doing things you enjoy is the better choice in my opinion and it seems that Allie would agree! Your homemade palettes are really nice and hope that you and the boys get a lot of enjoyment from them. As you said, Gramma is going to have fun no matter what.

Your cloud views looked beautiful and we've had the threat of rain with ominous clouds, but then it passes by, so maybe over the next couple of days. The heat wave is here in NH as well, just not as bad as in other parts of the US and no hurricanes or tornadoes, thankfully.

I have been watching a lot of documentaries on Netflix and always read the noise minally in the am only.

Allie sure looks like she is loving and protecting that water. We have been without TV for almost two months now and do not miss it.
