Good morning!
I felt better and got a lot done last week! Besides the usual cooking and laundry, I really scrubbed down the kitchen counters. Meaning I needed a stool to reach the backs & walls, pulled everything out, and wiped everything down. After that I decided to clean all four of my lazy susans. Meaning I emptied them, wiped everything down, scrubbed the lazy susans, cleaned underneath them, and reorganized everything as I put everything back. You'd never notice as it all looks the same...but I know...and it makes me smile. :)
Another thing that makes me smile are the two partridges that come to visit every day.
All the rest of them must be off sitting on nests someplace. With it being so warm and the patio door wide open I have to be more careful I don't move too much inside and scare them away. They are always on alert.
Meanwhile...all week long I worked on switching the winter and summer clothes. Bins and piles of cloths everywhere all week long.
Somehow I put my neck and shoulders into a right state when I worked on the counters and the lazy susans Monday, so I had to take it a bit slower on the bedroom task. Baby steps works for me quite well. Allie was all over examining the chaos, of course.
I finally finished on Friday. TaDa! Added a few more clothes to the donation bag, too. :)
Just found out last Monday that most likely nothing will be done on the apartment until June because they are busy every weekend in May. So much for thinking I might be giving notice end of May, eh? Be June or possibly even July now. Every time I think it might become real...something happens. Enough said. Can't even really talk about it...or think about it right now. It will happen when it will happen.
I should have bought more bird seed. ;)
I am glad I splurged on this set of adult coloring books...that look like they're for kids--lol! Super cheap! Only $7.99 for the pair of them.
Supposed to be calming and stress-reducing.
I found a jar that this set of colored pencils fit into...so I could color in my chair. Not in the mood for markers.
Got a couple of them done when my neck and shoulders weren't protesting too much--lol! They're so simple that even when you have to do them little by little they don't take very long to finish.
Definitely mindless and calming. You don't need to think much at all. Didn't worry about what colors I chose...just wanted to quietly color away.
And the great part about these are they are spiral books so you can easily color on a nice flat single page!

Been so hot out! Crazy weather! We've been in the low 90s since Saturday! Allie and I love having the patio door wide open. Allie must really imagine herself chomping into those birds now with just the screen between them...the great huntress!
But it finally got so hot I had to close up and put the AC on this last weekend for the first time this year. Beginning of May! 90s! So weird.
Today--May 12th--is the 24th Fibromyalgia Awareness Day. Fibro and I became intimately acquainted right about the time of the first awareness day. Kind of funny to me. But then I have a weird sense of humor, as you must know by now. ;)

Anyways, I paid all weekend for being busier all week...but it was worth it. Supposed to be 95, 95, 92--on Mon, Tues, Weds--and then cool down to more normal temps. I am so glad. I want the patio door wide open again. So does Allie. :)
What's the weather been like your way? Did you have a busy week? No matter what, I hope it was a good one. It was a good productive week here in my little corner of the world. Till next week, my friends! :)

It is still in the sixties here, lots of sun but a cold breeze. No such hot temps for the Pacific Northwest. Yet.
You've been a study in perpetual motion! To quote you back st yourself: don't overdo! Takes one to know one..
Same weather as you for a few more days, the dust was really blowing around yesterday. Too warm for me in the afternoons outside, I go out in the morning and evening. Sorry you won't get moved in June, hope you can get a date pinned down so your being in limbo can be behind you.
Have you ever seen partridge chicks? They would be showing up soon!
Hi Rita. Wow, you really got a lot done last week. I love those coloring books. Coloring is very relaxing. Sorry to hear that your move into the apartment at Dagan's house is going so slowly, but it will happen eventually and is certainly something to look forward to. I hope you have a good week! See you again soon!
It's hotter up there than down here! We were 90 yesterday, upper 80s until Thursday when the high is forecast at 58!
You have been busy. Baby steps is right. I'm keeping this in mind for myself. At least I hope I am. The coloring books look like they would be calming, flowers will do that. Management has given up the 'No Feeding the Birds' mandate. Take a rest today.
I can handle hot weather... i mean i live in West Central TX...lol I handle it better if it cools off at night... But when i don't have a cool morning to start with i can get cranky..lol And humidity... i can't do humidity... picky aren't i? :) I'm so sorry you keep finding stumbling blocks in your quest to move... But i know you will persevere. It will happen Rita then you can breathe!!! Hugs! deb
It will be triple digits here in north Texas a day or two this week. NOT looking forward to that! I changed my closet out a few weeks ago and it took me several days to do it - just like you! I can see you are disappointed in not being able to move sooner. God's timing is always perfect and it will happen just like you said.
So glad you are feeling better -- and very productive, too! I'm sorry about the delay in the move. It will all be good -- just take a bit longer. Hang in there. It was in the 80s today for the first time!
Sometimes emptying cupboards and cleaning everything is therapeutic. Maybe it was good therapy as you face a delay in your planned move. You must wonder at times if it is ever going to happen!
You were ambitious and got a lot done last week. It's nice when things get accomplished. Sorry to hear about the delay in moving. That's kind of how things are working for me in the job situation
Our temps have not even gone beyond 80 degrees and that was briefly a couple of weeks ago. Once the weekend nears, the rain has been coming in and this past weekend was no exception. The warmest temps have been in the mid to high 70s, so 90 is not even close now. No wonder you were tired after all the reorganizing of cabinets and clothes. I did the same simmer-winter clothes transition a couple of weeks ago. Some of the folded items had to be steamed of wrinkles, but once the job was done it was a good feeling too. The coloring books look like good de-stressers, especially after hearing that your move may not happen until later this summer.
Could you please send some of that hot weather my way. It is cold and stormy and windy here. We get a nice day of around 60° and then a week of crappy weather. You are like me, when I feel good I go for it. I too clean places no one will see but it makes me feel good. I have a lot of adult coloring books. I enjoy them so much and from the looks of it you do too. Those are great. Here, we ware the same clothes all year round. It never gets hot enough to change into summer ware. Your closet looks good.
Thank you for the suggestion about the coloring books. I have a lot of trouble with eye strain so can't do the intricate ones. I ordered a couple of the bigger ones and they came today. Again, thank you!
A busy week Rita and you have just reminded me I need to do my lazy susans here. So nice to clean out closets and such. Been busy doing that this week myself. I hope your neck and shoulders get back to normal real soon. How lovely to see those partridges every day and other birds :) I hope you are able to get into the apartment real soon. It will be here before you know it and I do hope the time will go quickly. What lovely coloring pages you have done. A jar full of colored pencils is so nice to have.we have had nice warm days but the rains came this week. Not so busy this week but it has been a good one. I enjoyed reading about yours. Thanks for such a nice read.
I can remember as a child my sister Sue would get upset when someone said anything about the Lazy Susan, saying she wasn't lazy and why couldn't it be called the Lazy Jeannie.
I like the close ups of the partridges
As I looked at the photos of what you coloured in I thought I wish I could colour in, I then thought I might give it a try.
We have had a bloody lot of rain lately
