Tuesday-7am

Only slept 3 1/2 hours and was up three times.  One of those hurtin' nights.  Definitely need a nap today.  Hope I can manage a few winks.  Anyways, good morning!  Been busy-busy since last we spoke.  Emptying out the studio.  This particular stuff on the kitchen table (canvases and large paper goods) was shifted away later to make room for all the other "stuff" that got shoved here and there into the bookcases.
There's stuff in the hallway...
...the bedroom...
...more in the bedroom (these are all various empty containers)...
...extra fans by the pantry...
...more stuff leaning against the bookcases in the living room...
...and stacks outside the studio door.
I had removed the two chairs that have been in "Karma's room"--LOL!  (See last post.)  But she was so upset by the empty room that she'd just walk around in there and cry and cry.
So, I put the chairs back and one of her cat beds...and she was happy again.
The kitchen table...
...filled with all those odds and ends.  Room emptied out!
I finished before McFamily came over last night.  Oh, and had two new plastic cars and two new tiny board books for Mr. Ian.  (We never got to the books, but he enjoyed the rattly cars.)
I basically tried to keep him busy while Mama and Daddy arranged furniture and hung up shelf units and put the new IKEA table together.  Not easy to get pictures in a small room, but here you can see the new little black table and that the big wall unit is up with a skinny shelf underneath--tada!
I can't fill anything on this other side of the room yet because we need another power strip with a flat plug.
But I will have plenty enough to keep me busy this week till they can come back on Friday.
****
We put up the new ink pad & re-inker shelf unit behind the door.
So, the place is chaotic once again, but this will be the last time.  :)
Hard to see but my red cup is way over there by my chair for the T-Stands For Tuesday group over at Elizabeth's.  ;)
That's only one load of boxes on the big cart in the kitchen.  There are a LOT more boxes in the garage yet to come in.  But there really is a light at the end of the tunnel, folks!  Whoohoo!!
****
I'll have to wait a day or so before I can start in, though.  My right arm is extra sore now, too.  Not sure what I did while I was emptying the room, but that's my good arm.  Darn!  So, this is about all I can type for now.   Better wrap this up, eh?
***
I had a great time with Mr. Ian!  So grateful to Dagan and Leah for doing everything they do to help me out.  I am loving the new little IKEA table in there--fits perfectly.  Karma is curled up in my lap.  The sun is coming up.  AC weather in the 80s for the next couple days and then it's supposed to cool off again.  Time will tell.  ;)  Delighted to finally see the beginning of the end of this move--hurray!!  My arm is killing me...well, and my back, too.  R&R day here I come...with a smile.  I think I'll finish watching the new season of Longmire.  Netflix is truly my crappy-days-BFF.  ;)
****
Have a really sweet week!!  :):)

That is a LOT of stuff to have moved, Rita. I can probably figure out why your arm is hurting. But like you said, there's light at the end of the tunnel! :-)

OMG, woman, you do have a lot of art supplies! LOL I hope you're able to use some of them before the month ends. Won't it be cozy this winter in your new place? I wonder what Karma will think about seeing snow so close up? Fun times ahead!

Hi, dear Rita! I'm sorry your aches and pains prevented you from getting a good night's sleep. I hope you feel better as the day wears on (and after a nap or two). I'm glad you returned Kitty Kat Karma's chair to her room along with her kitty bed. She needs her favorite snoozing spots! Isn't it amazing how moving from one residence to another reveals how much stuff we have? Slowly but surely you will find the perfect spot for all of your furnishings and other possessions. I'm glad you had a nice visit with dear little Ian.

Happy Tuesday, dear friend Rita!

It is hard to pace ourselves when we want everything done yesterday.
I have learned I have to take it easier than I used to.
Take care of yourself Rita...hope you feel better soon and get things sorted.

It must seem a bit overwhelming for you yet and then to have the added aches and pains preventing you from doing as much as you'd like. But it truly is coming together. How very nice that Dagan and Leah are helping so much-and of course you get the added bonus of seeing Ian:) Glad Karma is feeling much better with "her" chairs back in place!

Well, it certainly seems like Karma has staked out her spot, LOL! All of your shelving looks amazing! I hope you can take a few breaks so you aren't so achy as you put everything in its place. I really appreciate your visit and kind words on my blog.

Is Karma a big baby? She cracks me up.

So great that you have family close to help you out with the daunting moving/settling in stage. Take breaks...rest...listen to your body. It will all get done eventually.

Oh How I can relate to your confusion and pain this week. We are getting new flooring laid in the living room/ office... a rather weird L shaped room that is actually suppose to be a living room dining room area but we don't use it as such . My back is giving me fits so it's slow going and finding places to put stuff is a premium as the youngest has all of the available used for his stuff while they are building his new home. This is our year of CHAOS ! Hope you get the rest you need and your pain gets better,. I do love that little black table too ♥♥♥♥

You have daddy, mummy and baby fans, just saying. I also feel for you as I often have aches and pains that cause me to have terrible nights sleep

I hope you were able to catch a few winks today. I'm sorry you are hurting, but your apartment is looking great. You are fortunate to have Dagan and Leah so close so they can help you. I bet you have lots of fun with Ian while they work away. Cute little toys for him to play with. Ryan always loved books...he still does. It's never too soon to read to little ones and have them learn new things.

Rest up and enjoy the rest of your week.

Make sure that the light at the end of the tunnel isn't a train coming right at you!!

Karma just needed her cat bed to feel at home. All those fans should keep you cool in the summer!

I don’t think I’ll ever move again! Maybe I should start getting rid of stuff now?

No wonder you are knackered with lugging all that stuff around. Hope all goes well and your darling family can give you all the help you need.

Yay! The light at the end of the tunnel is finally there!

Silly Karma - I think you will just have to call the "Studio" "Karma's Room".
