Friday-10am

We have clouds come through, but no rain.  The proof is in the no puddle in the parking lot.
Well, the week got away from me again.  I was puttering around with the shelves, as you know, but I was also working gradually on the zendala the past three days.
This was the template.
I puttered...
...and puttered...
...until I finished it last night.
But--DUH!  Forgot that it had to be in yesterday.  The new one was already out this morning.  Funny.  I know I finished it, anyways.  Don't like it as well as some of the other ones I've done.  Seems to be missing something and my sunburst in the center didn't work out like I planned...oh well, I'm done.  And I never thought of something I could even just take pictures of for a series for APR (Artist's Play Room).  Already did a series of writing things last week...just was too busy this week.  Hopefully will make both APR and Zendala this coming week.  Today--am washing clothes and doing some final picking up of art and craft stuff...and cat toys.
Miss Karma can forget her long lazy afternoons for this weekend--LOL!
My brother is coming, too.  I was standing in the kitchen and suddenly thought...this room does look small for nine people, doesn't it--ROFL!  I only actually have seven places to sit.
We're all heading over to Dagan and Leah's on Saturday, though--and maybe Sunday, who knows?  More room over there.  So--come to think of it--Karma will be here alone and can sleep...if she can manage to relax waiting for me by the door--LOL!
****
It's the third, so I just ordered groceries (coming this afternoon) and made my big Amazon order with my other big organizing purchase (bookcase!)--tada!  The little plastic baskets are back ordered, so it will be a while longer before I can dig into organizing the new wall shelves.  That's okay.  It's not like I don't have plenty of other stuff to do around here.
****
See you next week!
Have a silly, fun weekend.  :):)

Dear Rita, you must be getting excited. You've had days to look forward to the visits of your folks and your sister and her son and girlfriend and your brother. In an earlier posting you said you hadn't seen your siblings in a decade--so this is a big weekend coming up. Enjoy! Peace.

I'm not sure how you thought it should turn out, but I really like your zendala. At least you shared it with ME, so it wasn't a wasted effort at all. I actually think it's elegant! :-)

I really liked the overall view of your room. It starts to put everything I've seen the past in perspective. I can tell you are excited. I know this will be a fun weekend and week for you. I hope you enjoy it as much as you anticipate it.

BTW, that drawing is beyond belief. It is beautiful, even if it's not your favorite.

If you order any more 'stuff' you will have to move out to make room for it!
Your zendala is so intricate...it is really beautiful...sorry you missed the deadline.

At least with only 7 seats you can discourage visitors....we have dropped down to three seats in our living room...standing room only for visitors...have fun!

I would tell people to sit on the floor or perhaps gently suggest that they enjoy the great outdoors and take turns doing so.

Love,

Your zendala looks great! I ordered groceries online for the first time last week....it was quite exciting to get them delivered. :)

Have a fabulous time with your family this weekend, Rita! The more people in a small space, the cosier ~ :)

Love and hugs,
Serena xo

I've really enjoyed watching your art area reorganization and I can totally identify with the pleasure of getting things all sorted out. I like your closeup of the zendala where we can see all the detail work you did - it's great! Thanks for the visit and nice comment on my APR series....I'm slow getting around to everyone this week.

loved the inside look and to catch up a bit with what you are up to. the zendala is exquisite, by the way, and yet I DO understand that you might NOT see it with the same fresh eyes.

enJOY [or I hope you enJOYed] your family!!
