Tuesday-9:30am

Good Morning!
We've been having a few glorious days again.
Almost feels like fall when we have pleasantly warm days and chilly nights.  Karma loves it when the porch door is open day and night.
The Johnson side of the family came up to visit this last weekend.  Ian was a little fussy for a while and got passed around to a lot of willing soothers (you know how babies like movement).  But I only caught a quiet moment with his daddy before we ate.
Didn't remember to take any other pictures until the very end of the evening when we were all pretty tired and winding down--LOL!  Lucky I remembered at all.  (So used to taking pictures when I'm alone, you know.)
I did drink water like Renee has here--for the T Stand For Tuesday group.  ;)
My sister, Renee.
My SIL,Kathy, who's married to...
...my brother, Blaine.
And Renee's son, Joel, and his wife, Jozette came up, too.  It was their one year anniversary on Sunday and we surprised them with cake!  :)
So nice to see everybody!  Renee and I did some traveling down some rocky sections of memory lane.  They all went on a walkabout before dusk (which I passed on, of course) and Ian stayed awake the whole time just taking in the sights.  I'm so glad they come up to visit.  :)  I wish I had remembered to take more pictures.  Hopefully next year.  Or do I always say that?  LOL!
****
We've been having gorgeous fall-like weather again the last few days, but it is supposed to start heating up again.  I appreciate the heat breaks when we get them.  Well, hot or cold--I hope you are having a very happy Tuesday!!  ;)

It was good to see you get out and spend time with Ian. I've gotten worse and worse about taking photos, too. I manage a few, then put my camera away because it is so bulky.

Bleubeard thinks Karma looks happy in the photo. And I think you did a good job of getting your sister and her "drink."

Thanks for sharing your weekend with us for T this Tuesday.

How nice to have a house full and that photo of your precious "guys" sacked out on the sofa is priceless!
I also enjoy a little less heat...today we are finally getting some rain here in Northern Virginia...no one can water like Mother Nature can.
Wishing you and Karma a Happy T Day
thank you for your nice comment on my origami dresses...the EKG was one of mine ;-)

You did good with the pictures you did take, Rita. And we are just finishing up a heat wave, with today being the first break for awhile. I hardly slept all night, it was so hot in my bedroom. :-(

Yes, the beautiful days of summer are becoming shorter already. It's so hot but evenings are cool and I love to have the window open all night!
Baby looks so sweet and content :)
Company is wonderful, I've had my share this summer and love it :)

Sounds like you had a nice visit. I'm glad.

The St. Louis area has been having an unbelievably good summer. Very little draught and only a handful of suffocatingly humid days. I can't believe how green everything is and it's nearly the middle of August! After such a rough winter, this delightful summer is especially appreciated :)

I'm glad you had a nice time with your family over the weekend. I bet Ian was loved by all. :)

We've had some beautiful summer days lately, but the rain came early this morning, and it's rained all day. The heaviest rain is yet to come. It's predicted to hit our area between 11 PM and 4 AM. Not good for light sleepers like me.

Hello and Happy T Day! I love those cloud pictures and keeping the door/windows open is always a nice. I miss that part so much in the winter.
How nice to have family visits, that baby is so cute. Great job getting Renee and her drink, she can be the star of your post today.
IT's been a mix of hot and fall days here too, crazy but nice.
Have a good week.

Looks like a great family gathering. It does seem like signs of the end of summer are showing up. Changes in the weather, shorter hours of daylight.

Hi Rita and Karma,
Happy T-day........belated. Sorry I didn't get back to visit you last week, THIS summer has had a crazy mixed up schedule. School starts, here, next week, and I think everybody is looking to get back to that schedule.

Wonderful family pictures. It is always fun to have family together.

I read your last post, about moving, and I will definitely be saying prayers for you. I also believe in the power of prayer and positive thinking. I wish I lived closer so I could come and help you box everything up and get you moved out of THAT place.

I'm glad you had a nice time with your visitors.

It's been a beautiful day here, but there's a storm coming. I don't mind though; it stayed nice for us to go out, and I like storms, so the weather is fine by me!

I'm glad you enjoyed the visit from your family, and that the weather cooperated while they were there. It's feeling like September right now, but I wish it felt more like August. Summer has been so cool (which is good for the electric bills), but after the winter we had, I was looking forward to some warmth. But I'll take what I can get and enjoy it as long as I can.

Love the picture of Ian sleeping on Dagan.

Nice pictures of your family, but why aren't you in any of them?

How lovely for you to have a great big family to take your mind off things. I am quite you enjoyed yourself enormously.

Isn’t it great to be in the circle of people with whom you don’t have to pretend and you can just toddle down memory lane.

Dear Rita, this family gathering with Ian as the center of attention sounds so engaging. And taking a stroll down memory lane can be an inspiration.

I think the Joseph Campbell quotation is so accurate. I've discovered that those things I don't want to do or think about--the stumbling blocks--can tell me so much about myself and my need for growth if I just bit the bullet and examine them or do the deed. Peace.

family visits are always fun, especially the walks down memory lane - funny how different memories rise to the surface. Sounds like a wonderful day and thanks so much for the Joseph Campbell quote...so true and i need that reminder right now!

The cooler fall weather is a welcome respite when it comes. The day that we went to the Minnesota State Fair this year it was only in the 70s (compared to times we've attended and it has been in the 90s). Such a pleasant and enjoyable day when the weather and humidity is lower!
