Sunday-1:30pm

You may have noticed the Artist's Play Room logo/link on the side of my blog for the past many weeks.  It's a group started by Jennifer McLean at Just Add Water, Silly where they have a weekly artistic challenge.  And have you seen me enter a single challenge?
****
No.
*hangs head*
****
They just finished #10 which was "bookmarks".  I even have handmade watercolor and ink bookmarks I made up quite a while ago that all I had to do was take a picture...and did I get to it in time?
****
No.
****
But I have been determined that I will participate...eventually.  So here is my late contribution to bookmarks.  ;)
Starting today the challenge is "magnify".  You can click here to read about the new challenge, or join if you'd like, and see several of the bookmark entries from last week.  :)
****
I know it's too late to enter my belated bookmarks...but, no matter.  One day off, for me, is progress.  I still feel I have finally contributed.  (Been a rough spring.)  Truthfully, even if I manage to get done in time this coming week, I don't know if I can figure out how to use the Mr. Linky--LOL!  Wish me luck...on both counts!  ;)
****
Look what I got in the mail!
Dee is a remarkable woman who writes her life stories on her blog.  The books are about her and Dulcy's life together.  If you click on the titles they should take you to Amazon--if I did it correctly.  :)  Thanks so much, Dee!!!

I hope all of you traveling about and hoping for picnics and frisbee are having better weather than we are up here for our holiday weekend in the US.  Been dark, rainy, and cloudy with occasional thunderstorms.  Personally, I don't mind at all because it's been in the 60s and 70s.  Wonderful fresh damp air and birds fussing in the puddles.  Karma's snoring softly in her cat bed and all is right with the world.
****
Peace.
Peace be with us all.

Bookmarks did come out very nice!! I too am available to help out if you need help figuring out Mr. Linky. It really is very easy to do though the first time I used it I felt a bit intimidated but once I figured it out, it is a piece of cake! Our weather turned out better than predicted; sunny and a bit breezy but the original forecast was for lots of clouds.

I am a third of the way through Dee's book and am enjoying it thoroughly. I hope you do, too. (In fact, I'm sure you will.) :-)

I love your bookmarks Rita! They are all so beautiful but I especially love the green and gold. It has been rainy here too for several days but I was ready for the pollen to get washed away. It is still too warm for me inside. I've been sweating and even on rainy days I keep a door open and fans on. I really want to put my plants out but it is just too cool outside for the young plants. I lost one when I put them out for a bit to harden them off. I've been sleeping all day and you know what that means. I'll be up all night :O( Hope you are doing well and feeling as well as possible.

I think your bookmarks are beautiful. You should create a fun quiz and then mail a bookmark to the winners. Bloggers would thank you, mention your blog...you might get some exposure! I would play!

I love your bookmarks! There is nothing worse than bent over corners and broken spines on books. I'm a real book-lover and have lent many out over the years and have had them returned in a terrible state.

The weather over here has been so hot lately, we also had a really early, warm Spring too, which confuses my plants, but as it is a Public Holiday this week-end, do you think the weather will hold out?
Hummm, probably not! ;)

Your bookmarks are very colorful. They're winners in my book. :)

Hazy, hot, and humid here in northeastern PA. A few thunderstorms scattered about and more on the way. My husband left for a backpacking/hiking trip with a Boy Scout troop Saturday morning around 9:00. It's now 2:20 in the afternoon on Memorial Day, and he's not home yet. :\

You are not late- you are on island time! If you were on a Caribbean island you'd be early for the bookmark challenge!

Good luck with thechallenge; both with getting it done on time and with doing the linky thing! :)

We've been having beautiful weather. There have been storms out at sea that we've had the edge of the winds from though; not bad winds, but enough so you would call it wind rather than a light breeze. Anyway, I think we're meant to get some not-so-nice weather by the end of this week. It's been perfect though. The winds have kept us from feeling too hot, so it's been nice enough to have the windows open, but not so hot we can't function.

The bookmarks you made, Rita, are gorgeous! It would be a joy to open the pages of a book each time one wants to read just to see the bookmark that's in it.
