Friday-6pm

I know!
Posting again!
But I was having so much fun with the last zendala template that I dove right into the new one that came out today.  We were supposed to use this template on some different kind of paper.  It's probably not obvious, but this is printed on pale blue lightly marbled card stock.
I didn't take pictures of the process this time.  Was just plain too busy happily drawing and coloring away the day while listening to concerts (well, Netflix DVDs, but I was bent over paper and didn't see a lot) with Paul Simon and the Moody Blues.  What a glorious, glorious day!!
I used various sizes of black microns and then copic markers for all the coloring this time.  And actually went to a website that shows all kinds of zentangles and the curly one there is called organza.  Not sure if I did it correctly, but I liked it.  If you go here you can see tons of doodle forms!  Boggled my mind!!  I can try to slowly incorporate a few of these in with my dearly loved geometrics.  ;)  Then my designs can maybe morph into a more proper zendala.
Anyways, I just had to show you!
I'm swaying to Nights in White Satin over here.  Did you know Justin wrote this for his future wife after only knowing her for a couple weeks?  They've been married since 1969.  How romantic, eh?

Have a joyous, dancing weekend!!

Wonderful zendala, Rita! It sounds like you had a great day and, no, I didn't know that about 'Nights in White Satin'. Always LOVED that song!

Lovely zendala, and yes, I love "Nights in White Satin" as well - many memories attached to that song for me - all good.

This is absolutely gorgeous. I had no idea until I read it on a blog earlier this evening, that those doodles had names. How amazing is that. Of course, I really like yours, especially since I am zentangle challenged (arthritic hands can't grip a pen).

As soon as I leave a comment, I'm going to listen to the music you have left us. And I'm trying to make up for the fact I was gone last week, even though you visited me every time I posted.

Your finished Zendela is so precise and perfect! It must have taken you hours. Love the color choice. I usually have the TV on but don't watch a thing because my head is hanging over a Zentangle creation. lol

I love the squiggly lines in the middle! And doing your thing while listening to some great music too!

I remember taking a music class one year as an undergrad and learned these guys were all classically trained. After listening to their music, I can see that had to be true. Incredible music that was fun to listen to.

Dear Rita, both of us seem to like the same music--Simon and Garfunkle and the Moody Blues. "Night in White Satin" is one of my favorite--truly favorite--songs.

I so liked the zendala you showed us in this posting. That organza is so lovely. Peace.

I love all of these patterns and doodle that you do.
I tried to print some off, but they didn't seem big enough :(

A few years ago, I remember buying "Adult Colouring Books" with pattens that were all based on mathematical formulas, but I can't find them anymore. I'll have to have a look on Amazon and see if they are still available.
Hope you are having a good day...listening to music and doodling is my favourite past-time!

This is so pretty. I had never heard of zendala ;-) I love working with mandalas. there is something most cathartic about them.

I love that squiggly one!

I love coloring/drawing, too. Just drift off in my own world. I have a theory that maybe kindergarten was too short for most of us!

I love this mandala and it seems that Paul Simon and the Moody Blues are great for your creativity.... that is romantic that he wrote a song for her and that they are still together after all this time... don't hear things like that very often do you...xx
