Truth. If I didn't combine both the challenges from Artist's Play Room and Zendala I would never have finished in time to post them both for this week. Sorry. So I did both the red and white challenge from Artist's Play Room and the Zendala template together.

Here's the zendala template for this week.
I gathered some red pens and markers.
I used the red LePen...
...the Staedtler Triplus Fineliner...
...the Copic Ciao R29 (hard to get into sharp corners with the Ciao--kind of clunky)...
...the Sharpie thin pen...
...and the red Hi-Tec C (0.3).
As you can tell, I was in a very geometric, controlled mood and not feeling up to being a loose woman today--LOL! ;) But I really liked how it turned out and it was a very relaxing way to spend the day.
Last night the moon was so bright that it looked like a huge street light out there when it came out from behind the clouds.
Short and sweet today. Goodness! I've had something to post every day lately. I hope you are comfortable and safe wherever you are. :):)

Very red, and very lovely. I appreciated hearing about all the red pens you used. Helpful information for my next buying spree! Tee hee!
I like the template! Very nice shot of the moon.
wow, your design is just wonderful! controlled and tight or not! :)
That is a great quote! I am sure I am guilty at times.. OK, often. Love your read and white design!
I was looking at that same moon last night from a different state -- a state of drunkenness. Just kidding! I love what you did with the red. Red is a great color. LePen sounds so wickedly French.
Love,
Janie
nice work on being a non loose woman... and I think it is clever to put them together... I have to give mandalas a go, but then I worry that mine will end up like a bit of a dog's dinner by the time the frustration sinks in.... xx
Lovely! You are accomplishing a great deal in a short period of time! Congratulations... :-)
Very pretty Zendala! I watched the moon rise Tuesday night, when it was full and wished I had my camera with me.
Thanks for your advice on my painting!! I love seeing your zendala develop. I looks so different from where it started. I love how it turned out!
Again a laugh with the quote! You are sooo patient and so precise! beautiful. Fun to see all the pens you used, too. Thanks for sharing.
That Zendela pattern is an interesting one; I like the red you are doing on it! Like the picture of the moon, we were socked in with clouds last night but I did see on the calendar that it was a full moon last night :)
betty
That turned out great!!!
I have no clue what the moon looked like last night...I was unconscious long before the sun set, lol! Not looking forward to cleaning today, but it's the last of the work before we leave!
Wish us luck!
Very nice I do like it the red really makes it stand out you did good.........
I love how your red and white zendala turned out, Rita! Perfect for the APR challenge too....loved seeing the progress photos.
The moon has been quite large in our sky of late. Nice shot!
Have a happy Friday! xo
That zendala is incredible, I love that you showed how it's done. I think I would be insane by the time I finished one. No patience here, I tend to race and mess things.
Love your quote.

I wentthrough a stage of drawing and colouring mandalas, someone gave me a book and it was really fun and relaxing to do. Have a good weekend, Rita.
Love what you did with the zendala! Nice work. :)
The moon has been awesome lately. I have lots of pics and video that I haven't had time to post to my blog. Will try to post a few soon. Just too many other things going on right now.
Stay cool and have a great Friday. Time for me to finish getting ready for work.
Nicely done and isn't it great when one piece meets two challenges? You have a lot of red pens, I may just have to bump up my collection now that you gave us a good list.

I really must get some of these zendalas to do. I love what you did with the red. I used to buy books to fill in too, but no one has heard of them here. I'll have to look them up on the internet.
It has been a while since we have seen the moon, it is far too cloudy and I am fed-up with the rain!
Say Hi to Karma!
Gorgeousness...stunning work..so fun to see it in stages..fabulous..and love the vibrancy of red~! Very powerful!
Victoria
great zendala, such patience you have and I love the different reds you used. Looks great.
Best,
Jenn
This zendala is drop dead gorgeous. I'm more than impressed with what you made. I would say your geometry mood was perfect this week. It was superb. I would call this a fabulous piece for Jenn's APR challenge.

I should not have looked at yours..mine is still blank and on my desk! Yours is way cool..love all the red:)
very geometrical and i love it! i really do - the lines are wonderful!
I have promised myself I will not touch a ruler while I am doing zentangles. If I did, I'm afraid the geometry teacher would take over!
I go in the pool every night during the summer right before bed, to cool down and relax. I was floating around in my pool looking at the moon, but didn't snap a pic! Ha!
very cool rita!! you sure are an inspiration...i love how you turn a plain old line drawing into something so creative & spectacular!! happy sunday!
I love the "simplicity" of the design with the geometric lines and shapes.
Reminds me of the holiday season here living a Swedish community. There are lots of red and white decorations; and the trees at Gammelgarden (where the first Swedish settlers lived in the 1800s) always decorates the tree with red and white decorations, and straw decorations (like little Dala horses).
As long as you're happy with it, that's what counts! :)
