Lucky Me!!
I found Heather's blog thru Iggy's blog.

Heather regularly highlights etsy shops (which, of course, drew me right in) and when she does there's a giveaway from that shop. I won the September 28th drawing on Heather's blog from Tricky Fox's etsy shop.

I won a necklace!
Very pretty! Thanks to Heather and Tricky Fox's etsy shop!
Let's see...I really did have a Tudors marathon weekend. Was awesome! The series must be over as the season ended with Henry's death. *sigh* Such a lush, compelling series.

And I played and played with the new leaf stamps! Was just coloring them directly with water-based colored markers. (The kids' Crayola markers work great for this.) You can mist them with water before you stamp to give a watercolor look to them, but these stamps are so detailed...decided to just color and stamp them.

I love that they look like you have pressed a real leaf. I've never purchased Tim Holtz rubber stamps before and am completely won over. They are really sturdy and there is an ease of use and cleaning that surprised me. They even came on a plastic sheet that is perfect for storage. I can see why his stamps are so popular...along with the rest of his products. ;)

Now it's back to the Christmas cards--hehe! Was a delightful break, tho. :)

Yesterday I washed clothes. Hadn't seen Miss Karma for some time. She usually comes to get "involved" in the bedmaking, but no sign of her. I went to grab the comforter I had tossed off the bed when I tore the bed apart for washing...
...and almost rolled Karma out--hehe! She had crawled inside under the comforter! Was only a surprise because she's never done this before. Sometimes I think she must wander about the apartment thinking--what new thing can I do now?
I let her go back to sleep.

It is soooo nice to be on the day shift again. Caroline comes this afternoon. I am not sure what the plans are for tonight with Dagan and Leah. I emailed them last night, but haven't heard back yet. Have things they could do over here (like put the bookcase together and help me get my printer to work with the laptop, etc) but I know they are probably shot from the gaming convention...so not sure it we are on or off or what is happening this week?
****
Meanwhile--I have the dentist on Thursday afternoon. Finally going to get in and have that filling redone--there's a small crack in that tooth, too, but redoing the filling should take care of it they said. Be glad when that is done. Then next month I can finally go in and have them cleaned--and hopefully be done with the dentist till my next checkup in six months. Whew!
****
Cloudy morning in the 30's. No rain predicted. Hasn't rained for some time now, so I don't know if the leak over me is fixed or not. Time will tell, eh? I finally moved the bucket from the hallway floor this weekend. Still--I automatically zig-zagged thru the hallway in the middle of the night heading to the bathroom--ROFL!
****
Well--guess I should put all the markers and leaf stamps away...or...get the mister out and play a little more... :):)

Happy Tuesday!

You are a winner!!

:) Of course, I knew that already.

That reminds me - time to look for some nice fallen leaves for you. They haven't turned much, but they are starting to fall.

Gives Karma (with the baleful yellow eyes a pat on the head and a chinny rub).

Congrats on your win.

Those leaves are so realistic looking. It is amazing.

Being on the day shift again has got to be a good feeling.

Have a great day!

have you tried coloring them with two or 3 colors to9 look like fall leaves? Glad you will be done with the dentist.

Congrats on winning the cute little necklace. Nice giveaway.

Those leaves look like the real thing alright. I'm glad you liked working with those stamps.

I bet you have it figured right...Karma wanders around the apartment looking for something new to do...to keep you on your toes and your camera in your hands. :)

I'm wondering...did you get the mister out and play a little more? LOL

Iggy--You are sweet!
Leaves!! My favs are maple--hint! hint! ROFL!
Karma's eyes are often a baleful yellow. Love that description. Nail on the head, Iggs.

Deanna--Thanks!
I bet they used real leaves somehow in the making of these stamps. :)

Sue--I did use 2-3 colors in every one of these but, apparently, I was way to subtle. Was going for more realistic colors and blending them.

AliceKay--I think Karma does look for new things to do. Just like a restless toddler--hehehe! ;)
Yup--and I'll have more pictures. :)

Congrats on the win!

Glad you were having fun with the leaves! :)

At least you can't say you get bored with Miss Karma around... There's always something to do, what with trying to find her latest hiding place, trying to guess what she'll be up to next, etc. She reminds me of Megan... You never knew where you'd find her sleeping, or what you'd find her playing with next. LOL!
