Sunday-11:15am

After the roofer was trapped and they did get the cage arm to carry him back down, they left the machine where it was. In the morning they plugged it into an outside car plug-in post (see the cord across the snow)...
...and then proceeded to futz with it for a couple of hours. Karma surprised me by attentively watching from her spy perch--hehe!

Once they got it going and sprayed all over the big arm (oil? de-icer?) then they were right on the roof pounding against that wall you see here. I kind of kept an eye that nothing fell off the shelves--hehe! I guess they were probably finally putting back the siding?
Karma actually sat on the floor near the craft table and kept vigil while they pounded. Don't know why she was so brave that day? Maybe she's gotten immune to the noise after all these many months?
The oddest thing is they kept working after the snow started. It was coming down hard and they stayed up there. I was afraid somebody would slip off! Obviously going to be nice and dry under the siding, eh?

Anyways, they finally left. We had another good layer on the cars out there on Saturday when the sun came out.
Amazed me that much snow was even on the cars with the wind we had. You can see the drifting on the garage roof.
I actually love being able to see evidence of the wind on the snow. :)

It blew enough of the snow away that you can see where the sidewalk actually is below my window...and the footpath a few feet over that people have made because they haven't cleared the walk.
Oddly--they have been parking that big machine right by the office lately...
...and not back by the garages?
They must not be done if they didn't take away the machinery yet, you think?

It's snowing and windy again today. Warmer. 20 degrees. I'm washing clothes. Karma is sprawled out on the rug. (I turned the heat up or she'd be sitting up with her feet curled under her like the picture from Friday above--hehe!) Anyways, more probably tomorrow. :):)

I was watching Karma's ears and tail in your video. Her ears would perk up and then out, and then her tail would flip up and down. My cats used to do that with their tails whenever they were annoyed. LOL

That would bother me if I had workmen that close to my windows. I sure hope they finish up soon. Waterproofing under the siding? Makes you wonder how good of a job they're doing, doesn't it?

You sure have a lot of snow out there. (the crows said to keep it out there, by the way) It's been bitter cold and windy here today with temps in the mid 20s. We've had snow flurries in the air much of the day, but it hasn't amounted to anything...which is good. According to the weather on tv, it's been snowing pretty good just to the north of us...lake effect off of the finger lakes. And from what the tv also says, western PA and western New York are getting hit hard with lake effect snows off of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. I wouldn't live near Erie or Buffalo (or Syracuse or Watertown) if my life depended on it. Nope, nope, nope. Not for me.

It's been between -10 and -20 here for the last week, better than the freezing rain the week before. I just my 5th bazaar in a row and now I'm done for awhile - I'm so glad! Now I can concentrate on other things, like taxes and sorting out my house and studio. Hope everything keeps going well for you.

Brrrrr!!! Cold, snowy pictures! I hope they're finished for you soon. It's been rain, rain, rain here the past couple of months. Seriously, rain every stinkin' day! What color is the sky again??? LOL!

AliceKay--Yes, Karma's tail was flicking and flicking. Even tho she was fascinated, she was annoyed at the same time--hehe!
I hear the workmen pounding up there again today--other side of the building. No snowstrom today, tho. ;)

Sue--Five bazaars! Whew! Rest up, Lady! Sounds like we have similar weather. We've been in the single digits and teens and sometimes a little below zero at night. I hope the sales went well.

Jeannie--Rain. Don't think we will see that again till spring. Dark days are dreary. I hope you get some sun!! :)

I think construction works feel like they can leave their umm... "stuff" whereever they feel like - many of them think they are somehow "priviliged".

That walkway is gonna give you a stress-attack someday... somehow you got to fix it or let it do...

Well, at least they aren't using the weather as an excuse to just leave holes in the roof all Winter, I guess.

Yeah, I'd say Karma's just getting used to them. I bet if they suddenly do something different - or take a few days off from the job - she'll be back to hiding again.

Iggy--Is it kind of like drivers of semis, dumptrucks, and buses? LOL!

The sidewalk bothers me a lot because that is the way Dagan and Leah leave the building. It's the closest exit. And when the door gets stuck open in the winter, I am right above it. Gets cold. But, you're right. I should just try and track down the fire marshal. ;)

Tori--I would think they'd have to get done soon. Seems like this has been going on since summer! I think Karma was only brave because they couldn't get that machine to move for a couple of hours. As soon as it got to moving and they were pounding on our wall--she wasn't by the window anymore--hehe! ;)

I don't blame you for being a bit fed up of it with how long it's been going on!
