Monday-5:15am

Have been in a lot of pain the past couple days. Stressful situation/person...but feeling better this morning. The situation has been resolved. :)
****
I thought I'd show you the box for the Chakra Balancing book and CDs.
I also have this "course" that I haven't tried yet.
These are both on my goal list for 2010. :)
****
Since we moved the turntable off the table over New Year's--I cleaned and reorganized...
...of course--ROFL! (The only person interested in these pictures will be Leah--hehe!)
I hadn't even been down to check my mail on Saturday, so I walked down this morning. I had a small bubble envelope from my folks in Florida. I wondered what in the world would they be sending me??
Made me laugh out loud!
A cute elastic "Karma" bracelet!
My Mom works part-time at Universal Studios and she found this bracelet there. Just the perfect reminder I needed this morning! Be careful what you send out to the Universe because it will come back to you. What goes around comes around, right?Embrace the simple things...? Notice the furry "simple thing" in the picture--ROFL!
Thanks so much, Mom and Dad!! You absolutely made my morning! And you're probably right, Mom--Leah and I could probably figure out how to make something for Karma with it. (I thought of a beaded collar...hummm?) But right now, as I am typing, I have it shining on my wrist. So thoughtful--many thanks--and Happy New Year!! :)
****
Another possible project for the coming year--signed up for an online ACIM workshop course. It will depend on what it is like, I guess. I read ACIM about fifteen years ago, I think--cover to cover.
My book has all three books included: text, workbook, and teacher's manual. I got more out of the text--the actual book--but, then again, I didn't actually try to use the workbook as a daily exercise project...so who knows? Honestly--I didn't read thru the information very thoroughly (too sore), so I need to just check it out as I get my email posts. So far--they look cluttery and confusing. ?? Not sure what I think yet.
****
Well, it's warmed up closer to zero--hehe! As highs in the afternoon, I mean--was supposed to be about 12 below during the night I believe and right now it is 7 below. Silly Karma has been begging to go out on the porch! She has no concept of the great outdoors, does she? ROFL!
****
Today the plan is for Leah to come over after work. We plan to brave the cold and do a little shopping. I'll see how I feel by that time. :) We want to go to Tochi's health food store, Target, and PetSmart. Sounds overwhelming to me at this moment, but my first 2-4 hours are never very good--ROFL! So I'll know more how my day is going in another 2-3 hours--hehe!
****
Seems like things are back to a normal routine now on this the first Monday of the year...after all the holidays and such. Suddenly feels like 2010, doesn't it?
****
Life is good! :):)
****
P.S.
It just hit me! I have been soooooo annoyed at how I lose paragraphs in Blogger when I post...and it hit me! I went back and added the stars between paragraphs so they don't all smash together--tada! What do you think?! Easier to read?

I saw on the local to Philadelphia PA news last night a bank sign in Fargo, North Dakota saying the time and the temperature. It was 3:22 PM and something like -8.

Brrrr! Karma needs a fur coat to go out in this weather - oh wait.. she has one!

Hi Iggy!
If we made the news it should have been a few nights ago when we were 32 below--ROFL!! When it is below zero that coat probably feels pretty thin to her, tho. :):)

I already have a simple idea to attach that Karma plate to Karma's collar, making a beaded neclace for her, might just become a chewing toy, though, who knows. Or maybe you'd rather just keep it as a bracelet, to remember Karma and the great knowlege in the word.

Be careful what you send out to the Universe because it will come back to you. What goes around comes around.

I think the stars are fine, it does give more separation that's for sure...

Also, Iggy, yeah, I agree, they should have taken a picture a few days ago when it was really cold, in comparison, it's really quite nice now at -5... ;)

Thank you kindly,
Leah

Hey Leah!
You know...her collar is getting pretty worn. Maybe should peek at a new one tonight at PetSmart? And you can examine it and see how you would attach her name to it, if we decide to do that. And it will be warmer shopping today, huh? ;)

Karma might love chewing a beaded collar--you're right--but she has to be able to get ahold of it with her teeth first--hehe! I saw one once in a catalog and always wondered about them.

I really like the stars and I think that is going to be my new thing for 2010. :)

The weather channel talked about Fargo, ND on their network last night. I thought to myself...hey, I kinda know a person who lives there...LOL. Makes me cold just thinking about those temps.

The bracelet your folks sent you is very nice. (yes, i noticed the furry simple thing in the one picture...lol)

The stars between your paragraphs work well. Makes it easier to read. (my eyes arent the best anyway) Good idea for putting them in there for us. :)

I hope you're feeling better by the time you read this. If you did go shopping today, I hope you had a good time of it and found what you went looking for.

So sorry to hear you've been in pain the past couple of days, Rita. I'm glad that the situation has been resolved now. Leah's not the only one who would be interested in your turntable pics....I love seeing how others organise themselves! The Chakra Balancing and 'course' looks interesting and....omg! the Karma bracelet is gorgeous....such a thoughtful gift from your Mum and Dad.

To be honest, I hadn't noticed re. paragraphs in your posts but if the stars work better for you, go for it ~ :)

Hi AliceKay!
I never thought I'd be actually living in Fargo--hehe! I'm a Minnesotan born and bred. But this is where I found housing--so over the river I went. Now I kind of get a kick out of it. ;)

My eyes aren't the best anymore, either. I feel dumb for not having thought of it a long time ago. Oh well. Now I know.

I think I need to go embrace my simple thing...hehe! :):)

Hi Serena,
So sorry to hear you had a devastating start to the new year, also. I hope things are better your way, too.

Funny--Leah did notice and now I removed the colored pencils that I haven't used for a long time, anyways. We wanted the turntable to be for things we use regularly--she's right. See--she did pay attention--ROFL!

I really love to see how other people organize, too!!! You haven't shown the end results in the garage and the new art space, have you? Love to see them. hint! hint! :)

Actually I have been wondering about those colored pencils on the turn table/lazy susan for years. Always wondered why they were there, just didn't want to say anything in case there was some reason I didn't know about. Then you brought it up and put pictures up and everything, I thought/got "I should ask..." So, I did, and now I know... I hadn't thought that I'd seen you using them and hadn't thought that you were only using them when I wasn't there. So, now we have more room to spread out our many other things in "jars" on there, like maybe have a separate cup/jar for scissors(BTW, I just looked that word up in Google, because I couldn't think how to spell it for the life of me), or bone folders or something. :D Oh, and I am going to try to put the label maker into your bag when I get home from work tonight.

Thank you kindly,
Leah

Hey Leah!
Funny thing is that when I first had my old rickety turntable up there I was using them on cards for coloring in rubber stamps--plus--I didn't really have a spot for them in the bookcase back then--hehe! (Remember there was one less bookcase.) They've just been there in that red mug I made in a ceramics class maybe three decades ago--like a permanent fixture. Now we can use that red mug for dividing up some of the other stuff, as you suggested. It's in the dishwasher. ;) LY
